Good morning. Great information and stats 👍 on the Bowie-DMV (D.C. region) However, Bowie is actually in Prince George’s County and it is Laurel which fall in 3 to 4 Maryland counties. Many years ago some Bowie residents had an interest in leaving PG County and connecting to Anne Arundel County, but it never happened. Annapolis, Crofton, and Gambrills are in Anne Arundel County which is the Baltimore Metropolitan region. Bowie State University is in Bowie now but, was founded in Baltimore City and moved to Bowie for land and expansion. Building and development affected the land.

I was very curious and wanted to know if it’s a good idea to move to Maryland for political career opportunities. I’m gonna finish college soon and wanted to know if Maryland was a good fit for that.
I do know quite a few politicians and folks that run for office locally. I do feel it’s accessible for sure. I haven’t been super involved in politics but it seems like it’s been great for those I know.
Are you a you democrat? Or fairly liberal, center leaning diverse republican? Well educated? Marylander? There seem to be lots of folks getting into politics in Prince George's county.

There is Bowie and Fake Bowie. They have stretched the area that they call Bowie into Mitchellville and Woodmore and down around Kettering. That IS NOT BOWIE. ~Blaze

Bowie is wealthiest and educated black American community and I love here people are very welcoming , Dc 25 minutes ,best place we have less racist Karen here .
