they started with it being a 100 lapper. Paying $20,000 to win. then a few years ago started to have a friday night show 25 laps paying $6,000 to win. And saturday Night show 75 Laps and Pay $15,000 to win
also allows the drivers and teams to basically have a setup/practice night(Friday) for the track to prepare for the main event Saturday. that's how I see it anyway and I know there's a lot of truth in it.
