Probably a crankshaft seal. The front one being easy to change. The rear one, not so much.

They sell these cloth type mats that you can place in the bilge or engine compartment that will soak everything except the water.. it soaks up diesel, oil etc and leaves the water

Thanks for that. Thought it may have been or the 40 with that canoe stern. Ron Swanson didn't know how to design a bad boat. It won't let you down and will take you anywhere.
