Hey fellas love the videos and the store, i know it’d be your 3rd vid on the topic but could you do a video on metro Landbased snapper without the drone? There aren’t really any videos on youtube of it for WA. Keep up the great work 👍
Have just subscribed to your channel and starting the journey on inshore snapper fishing. I come from a river mooring and out from Freeo - I’ve tried a few spots to the north / northwest of Freeo harbour.. not much reef out there but have caught some small snapper and lots of skippy around a few lumps / contours. Do you chaps think it’s worth persisting in that area or would you have any tips for any other spots not too far out of Freeo, without having to go all the way out to Rotto or 5 fathom? Cheers!
Hi Andrew, Some of the better areas out from freo are around champion rock, stragglers and mewstone reefs. That whole line of reef is perfect for anchor and burley on sunrise or sunset. Feel free to come see us in store as well, as it’s much easier to give you specifics in person 😀
In this example, we used Willyweather, which uses information from the Bureau of Meteorology (Meteye). We also use windy.com for more reliable offshore forecasts.
Will do mate! Problem with dropping exact locations and showing people how to fish them is that very soon they won't be as good as they once were. However, we can definitely do some land-based stuff at locations that are already well-known.
Hey mate, cheers for watching! Some good options around that price would be the shimano raider or atomic arrowz rods, and there are a number of models in those ranges that may suit your needs.
@@troggybyc9278 It would be a lot of fun on snapper in the shallows, as they aren't hell-bent on reefing you. In saying that, we wouldn't recommend targeting bottom fish like dhufish on them, as you could potential damage your rod by going too hard on them. Hope that helps!
@@compleatanglernedlands4318 thank you for the help 🙏, I will definitely give that a go (btw I bought the infeet at compleat angler so thanks for that)
Gday mate can you give us any good spots as me and my dad were looking to give this a shot. How close are you from the shore and what ground do you look for?
Snapper are a highly mobile fish, and will visit almost every reef at one time or another. Contours on the edge of reef between 8-15m deep is a good starting point, such as the back edge of 3-mile reef. Hope this helps 🤞

Yep that’s on the agenda for sure, expect to see it in the coming weeks. Cheers for watching and letting us know your thoughts!
Do you find the snap swivel works ok with the soft plastics, does it affect the lure action or put off the snapper?
Good job guys some nice snap snapz!
Thanks mate!
Goanna move to Perth sometime end of the year from north qld reason is work but perth has some fishing like in qld
For sure, there's plenty of good fishing on the west coast, including Perth. Our snapper are generally bigger than over east as well 😉
Good luck lad..👍🏼
Nice one fella. Was that a spot ya pinged or just drive up neat reef? What side of boat ramp? BTW thanks for sharing 👍
Just an broad area with lots of broken ground, sounded around until we found a half decent zone. This spot was between Hillarys and Freo.

How heavy rode were you using
We use a range of rods from PE 2/3 jigging rods to 1-4kg bream rods
@@compleatanglernedlands4318 thanks gonna love the little stuff
What size 1/4oz hooks were you using on the 5” plastics?
5/0 for 5 inch plastics, up to 7/0 for 7 inch
@@compleatanglernedlands4318 killer! Thanks for replying 👌🏻
@@carlosprite no worries mate!
Do some shore fishing boys for us fellas that don’t have boats. Drop locations if you do as well.

sick video, what deep fishing light tackle rod would you recommend under $200. Something similiar to that cloud 9 but a bit cheaper, Cheers
I was looking at one of the Storm discovery rods that field days uses but im not sure if thats the best option

@@compleatanglernedlands4318 I curently have a daiwa infeet fast taper for finesse, would it be able to hold relatively big fish?
