- In this video, Cody gives a DB9 breakdown, goes over some common DB9 misconceptions, touches on customer feedback regarding the DB9, and more! #DiamondbackFirearms #DiamondbackDB9 #concealcarry
I got one of these from a pawn shop for just over $200. No issues so far, not a single jam. Proudly my EDC.
Great video on this Diamondback DB9 micro 9, especially the bonus tips on the mag release, concealed carry for joggers, etc!
I’ve been owning and carrying handguns for over a decade and I hear the arguments and complaints but I never know the person carrying it, that being said everyone has their own unique way of carrying firearms, printing, main issue and depending where I am sometimes I care more than other times and that’s me and no one else will change my mind about it. This handgun is excellent for its own purpose it will be part of my inventory soon. I really like the magazine release, finally a magazine release that doesn’t protrudes 🎉🎉!!! Thank you 🙏
I can’t wait to get mine.
Great little firearm for its intended purpose. Love my Gen4. It’s a great option for carry during the summer and I love that it fits in my jacket pocket when I’m on my motorcycle. The DB9 has a slimmer profile and an extra round over the revolver my friend carries.
Been eyeing this for a year now. Just ordered one. Thanks for the vid.
Our pleasure! Enjoy your new DB9 and welcome to the Diamondback family!
My CCL for 7+yrs Now. LOVE IT !
Very Accurate, reliable, Tiny to the point i forget i even have it.
My wish list is ... extended Magazine ( 1 - 2 rds. ) & My Super WISH is a ( 30 Super Carry ) Caliber. The only pistol i can ocket Carry with my business suit & forget i even have it
Thank You Diamondback !
Single-stack's nice, for ultimate concealability. But! "We Tha Ppl" DEMAND dbl-stack ver's of DB9/380!
I don't. If you want a double stack there are options. There are no options for the micro slim guns like this in 9mm anymore.
Own it and having carried for over 45 years as a LEO firearms instructor with a large selection in my inventory but I find myself at my age carrying the DB 9 more often.
5 years and just like new. . she is fun to shoot and very accurate at 4 0 yards.
Love hearing that! Thank you for your support!
I just got mine and can't wait to take it to the range! It's definitely in a class of its own when it comes to power for size. I would really like to see a pro version even it cost a little more. I think it would be awesome if they could add a red dot or a laser, and round off some of the sharp edges. They could offer different slide and barrel lengths or threaded barrels, or they offer extended magazines, or at least ship it with 2 lol. I know it's about making a gun that virtually everyone can carry and afford and I think they've achieved that, but there's nothing in this size at any price, even the higher end and it definitely feels like there's money to be made.
There is a pawn shop here in town that sells these micro 9’s. For the price, I really need to check one of these out for myself. Most of the people that I’ve heard talk about them say they are great pocket rockets! The only negative things I’ve heard mainly have to do with the earlier generations. I dig em.👍🏻
Great design! i hope they have this in the philippines
Looks excellent! Thanks for this video and making a nice gun like this affordable!
Unfortunately due to issues with your first Diamondback DB9, haven't bought your DB9. Am however trying your DB15 rifle and so far there's been no issues.
I have a db9 gen 4. Best gun i own. Absolutely love it
Glad to hear it! Thanks for your support and for being part of the Diamondback family!
I liked it so much i purchased another one about 3 days ago. When it has a full mag 6 rounds it will not chamber the first round no matter what. If i take the first round out leaving 5 in the mag it will chamber and cycle with no problem. It is clean and ive tried new magazines with it. Is there any recommendations you have to fix this problem. Please get back to me. Thank you@DiamondbackFirearms
I've also tried multiple types of ammo and it has the same problem
Leave the magazines loaded for a few days and see if that helps. I've had a few magazines that needed a little "break in" time. Once they loosen up a bit they're good.
@@jacobgorrell2611 Extremely sorry to hear you're experiencing this. Our Customer Service team will be best to speak with about this concern. They can be reached via email at info@diamondbackfirearms .com.
Mine has over 500 rds through it no issues yet. Make sure your new Gen 4 has that orange follower and you’re golden with reliability as far as I know.
Glad to hear your DB9 is treating you well! Thank you for your support!
I've been debating on getting a DB9, I think the stiff mag release and the shelf under the slide stop are handy for pocket carry. All little guns are snappy, 2in revolver or 3in auto loader. Cool lil pistol
she's next on my inventory, excellent job!😉
I like the magazine release button. I don't carry extra mags so a quicker release isn't helpful at all.
Thanks DB💥
Liked the first one so much, I went and bought a 2nd one. I stay taking crap from these capacity folk. If you need more than 13 rds ( 6+1) with an extra magazine in your pocket, you need something more than a 9mm.
Any plans for a gen 5?
Love mine❤ GEN 4
I love it just got it yesterday
I have two DB9 Gen4's. But why don't you bring out an extended eight-round magazine for it? It would be just slightly longer than the present magazine with pinky extension, give people with larger hands a more substantial grip, and 8+1 would make it considerably more viable than other pocket guns like 5-shot J-frames...
And yes, I know there's a +1 extension on your website. But that extension is $30. I'm not spending roughly the price of two magazines to get one extra round, that's ridiculous...
Do these have a zero-energy striker like Gen 3? Interestingly the only mention of zero-energy striker on your website is about the DB380... You never mentioned safeties in this video, even if just internal, or did I miss something?
Appreciate the info
Considered making a threaded barrel?
Still carry the gen 2 everyday. Can't find the gen 4 in stores around me.
We recommend speaking with your local dealer about having one ordered in for you.
Classic firearms , they will ship to your local dealer
What kind of dot was that on that one in the bag?
Question...
With the Kahr models, and a little mods, you can use 1911 single stack High cap mags. Can you do the same with the Db9.?
No - only DB9-specific mags.
I have the gen 1 i need to upgrade but its nice little pocket rocket.
My gen 4 is great the lcp MAXX took its spot if you bring out a max version around same side I’ll be a buyer
Make a 10 round stack and a half 30 super carry mag and a grip for this gun and you will have a major winner,
Think about how thin a 10 round flush 30 super carry stack and a half will be compared to the 9mm version,
The gun would basically be the exact same size 😊
This little gun runs and is highly concealable but holy shit does it suck to shoot!!! The impulse is incredibly sharp. I hate love this gun
Could you make one with an all aluminum or steel lower body instead of the polymer body? Do you know how the desert eagle can use revolver ammunition...the new .327 magnum can reach velocities of 1400 to 1500 fps from a 4 inch barrel. If you could somehow make a 6 round metal lower version of this in both 9mm and .327 magnum that would be great. It would be a dream since alot of people use the .327 magnum in 3 inch revolvers and the ammo still reaches at times 1400fps. You could have an all steel DB327 that spits lead at nearly 1400fps or more.
Is the slide coated stainless steel?
Gen # 4
Excellent proven design !
does DB offer a plus one mag extension ?
We do offer one on our site, yes.
Do you have a work email I can send a question regarding my Gen 4 DB9 to you yourself other than the general diamondback firearms email? Thnx-Alex!
Hey Alex! You can send it over in a message on one of our socials - X, IG, or FB.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays everyone Cody @DiamondbackFirearms good luck everyone in 2025! Waiting for an SDR!!!

@@DiamondbackFirearms right on, I appreciate the response
@@BushDog777 Absolutely!
They sell these at R&R Guns in Sebastian FL Indian River County.
@@chrissalmon3503 nice, I got a used 1 with 3 mags & a solid sticky holster for 200 bones out the door in Palm Gay
Not on the CA roster 😞 cant afford to leave this state
You sold me one!
Does it have a safety?? Is it California compliant??
No safety
Ive had issues with my firing pin sticking out. It doesnt matter how many times i rack the slide, it still sticks out. The only way i can chamber a round is to keep the muzzle level or pointing up. If the the muzzle is down the firing pin protrudes and the round will hang up. I know about the issue where if you dry fire it, then you have to rack the slide to reset the firing pin. Thats not the problem. The problem is the design. As soon as you rack the slide the trigger bar hits the firing pin block and gravity allows the pin to fall into the breach. I installed a new firing pin and it is a little better but it still has this issue. It needs a firing pin return spring to fix the issue.

@@DiamondbackFirearmsThank you for responding. I got it sent in on the 18th of July and had it back on Aug 1st. Very fast turnaround time. It's fixed and working like it should now. Top notch customer service.
We need threaded barrels
Kill1softly said dang right
Make the am2 optic ready
Does it have second strike capability? 🤔
It’s not a Taurus okay, we’re working with center fire munitions okay-🧠✅
Okay 😂.. When they refer to dao it usually implies second strike capability. 🤔😉@@dsrrecordsent
@@johnniehall3692 no it doesn’t 🧠🤷💡✅
Thanks. Still gonna get one 😉👍@@dsrrecordsent
@@johnniehall3692 DAO is the trigger pull traditionally long like the pull of a hammer fired pistol without being cocked which is good for pants, pockets, concealment etc DB is a phenomenal company! All American 🇺🇸
Painful to shoot, not fun at all. Took Diamondback 5 times to fix ejecting mags during shooting which took a year to finally give me a new gun. Bad service.
Does it have a safety!!!! Because the last model didnt! Which is foolish because its a carry pistol.. hate for this to get snagged and go off in the wifes purse!
