I think this level was one of the best uses of autoscrolling in Mario history.
Also piranha plant reprise.
it's crazy how they managed to make autoscrollers the most memorable part of this game when they're usually the most annoying

@@sinteleon fair, but also every music level (besides bowsers blazing beats) and a good chunk of wonder effects need autoscroll to even work.
@@Goomba456 Blazing beats (and the pumpkin music level) is proof that you DON'T need autoscroll for music levels to work. :P (granted blazing beats technically does autoscroll at the very end)
When the talking flower said "Hey, it's you!" I half expected them to say "Despite everything, it's still you."

Bro when I saw the 4 piranha plants come out of the pipes and sing this was immediately an 11/10 final level.

It became 6/10 with the plants appearing, but back to 10/10 with the big Boo and monster doors, and became 12/10 with the final fight as well.

This was a great prelude to the final fight. The mixing of all the wonder effects, the distortion of the talking flowers, the return of the musical numbers, it gives such a feeling of instability.
Once the dragon appears, the feeling changes from an imposing threat, to the whole kingdom and all its WONDER rallying behind you.
I like how before you start the level bowser says he has a head banger that everyone will nod their head to
Clearly, Wonder Power has given Bowser the most dangerous ability of all: fourth-wall awareness! He's actually learned to WEAPONIZE his consistently-awesome music for his evil ends!

That Flower that said "you have come so far" really hit me man, this game was a genuine blast and I would be more than glad to put it up there with Pizza Tower as one of my favourite games released this year
I definitely hope to agree with you. SMB Wonder is a great game, and Pizza Tower looks like a masterpiece. I just need to get the game first.

this lead up is amazing. Seeing all of the wonder effects and the talking flowers talking slightly differently than usual literally made me feel like somehow the entire flower kingdom was cheering me on..

What an amazing leadup to the final fight! I love how it's a amalgamation of most the wonder effects you experienced so far, and the part at 1:44 with all the musical numbers coming back to sing in harmony... all of it is wonderful.

I just finished this game yesterday with my sister - this level gave HUGE Mario Maker vibes and is honestly one of the best final levels I've ever played through. 10/10 would play this game (and this level in particular) a million times.
You haven’t finished it yet until you get to the REAL final level. I still have yet to get to that one, but I’m getting there.
Honestly, the entire game gave me Mario Maker vibes. TBH, I feel like we lost Mario Maker 2 so we could get this game, but that's just a theory...

1:53, 1:10 and 0:56 are the best parts. On a separate note, I hated the singing plants overall, except for in this level.

This is definitely one of the best final level themes in Mario, on par with the galaxy games for sure
This has to be my second favourite mario game behind smw
64 and Galaxy are still my top 2, but Wonder beat out New Super Mario Bros Wii which is a very good thing

This stage was amazing as it brought back ALL the wonder effects in one go and nothing felt crowded best final stage of a side scroller in YEARS

1:03 - 1:10 I love how this part is just the theme for the dragon slowed down a little and it plays during the dragon segment in this level. Very clever detail.
so im not the only one who got really creeped out by the talking 1-braincell comedy flowers suddenly getting serious, right?
Like nah they dropped the goofball act here--what we saw in this sequence, thats what the flowers really are. Im not even convinced theyre seperate entities from eachother at this point

Eventually one of the Mario games is Bowser having enough of Mario's shit and then just pulling out a glock.
