It's absolutely hilarious and unironic that you mentioned playing ad Kaladin Stormblessed because I immediately made him for my play through without a second thought. Peak recognizes peak.
You can use mystic spear hands lunge attack to climb terrain as well. And the shield ability is OP for reviving pawns and surviving magic attacks
Pro Tip, you can get the Maisters teaching in Melve along with the vocation. In the north side of Melve there is a huge siege bow on a tower. head straight to the tower, if you can shoot the dragon twice you can kill it and you will get the vocation and the teachings.
Mirror Shielde and Ravinour’s Hound are actually OP.
Mirror Shielde might not last forever, but it lasts for longer than you think. If you are careful with your attack spam, you could just tear into bosses without taking a lick of damage.
Ravinour’s Hound is difficult to use again small enemies, but larger enemies are basically sitting ducks for you to feed off of.
Sigurd talked shit to me at the tower so I chucked him off it

I switch to magic archer for bosses and use other two for everything else
So, waaay easier way. When you meet dragon in Melve, don’t fight it head to head. Run to tower with the spear gun at top of tower. Shoot dragon 3 times and it’s dead, doesn’t get to flee. You will then get the fury skill along with unlocking spear hand. After talking to rigor, he will either give you skill right away or just talk to him a few times back to back and he’ll give it to you. You can skip all this work and get it straight away!
Don't forget to loot the Dragon.
How i get the maisters skill if im in the endgame? I talked to him in the shrine and he didn’t gave me anything and now i cant find him as they moved away from the middle of the shrine except the dragons smith

After playing thief for a while spearhand felt so weak that I decided to stay thief until I unlock warfarer. Honestly think spear hand needs a damage buff in the future.
Yeah it does until you realize it auto crits on stuns then you can just dunk on everything.
The worst thing is I maxed out thief then switched to mystic Spearhand and since I’m a lvl 1 Spearhand I felt so damn weak the first enemy’s I encountered were Battahl Orc or ogre tbh I don’t even remember but I had to run

@@immortalredneck1259it’s not really a dps, you can think of it more like a boss level vocation that helps you focus big enemies rather then small ones since you can teleport and lunge on top of them
@@SteroidBlackBelt Can you explain more about this mechanic? By stun you mean the paralysis? Crits on basic attacks or with the heavy attack animation?

Anyone know where to find sigurd after you kill the dragon in the ruins? I have no idea where he went, i went off exploring the ruins not following him and when i got to the dragon i killed it without his help. I tried looking for him, his icon disappeared after i had killed the dragon. It was night, hard to see so i camped until morn then tried finding him and looked all over each level of the ruins. Hes not at either morgues, i dont think he died. Anywhere else to look?
First timer on Dragons Dogma here and have a question. What is that yellow shield that sometimes pop up and how can I use it at will?
I using the mystic spear hand and sometimes mid fight I will be able to block attacks with a yellow shield. But I have not been able to use it at will. It is very random and do not knows what triggers it.
That's the mage skill High Palladium. It blocks the next three incoming attacks. So if you have a mage in your party with this skill, they'll use it automatically in combat.
I don´t know what I did but I get the wild fury scroll right after killing that "dragon" in Melve. Before that I finished some main quest + helped his villige a bit + discover sligtly of Battal area. However I still like Thief way more. I don´t like the huge stamina drain of that strong ability and the stamina gain ability from enemy works just weird to me - like sometime I drain just myself and it is so annoying. Thief can do just same amount of dmg or maybe even more and he is just more flexible for my playstyle.
I found this vocation to be easier than most
I wish the Xbox b button and it’s equivalents had a roll for all classes. Like thief can keep its dodge into combo things. I just wish the other vocations had a roll/dodge. This vocation is great but sometimes Im locked into taking damage I could’ve dodged

How do you get in late game?
I can actually take down gryphons, the armored cyclops, armored Minotaur with ease as a Mystic Spearhand. I struggle badly as an archer or Sorcerer.

what height and weight is good for mystic spearhead vocation and what starting vocation do i start with?
Thief
Best starting vocation (for all classes) is fighter. Level to 6 so you get +carry weight and +def. Get Warrior and Mage to level 2 for +health and +mdef.
I personally don't think height/weight matter too much. Game isn't hard enough for you to need to min/max, it's more about your in-combat decisions and what skills you take rather than your overall power.

@@apexpredator6521 In the first game height only mattered because of movement speed vs entering goblin holes (which didn't have much good loot). I think it was a factor in character effectiveness, but not as big a factor as people make it out to be.

I have been searching for tips. I got really frustrated trying to get the core skills to work. It won't teleport. I got it to work once or twice. but I gave up on it.
Charge skill, release on mob, as soon as the mob begins flashing hit A on the controller (or X if using PS5). The time window is very narrow though.

I killed the dragon, I didn’t get to fight him up first at melve but I went to the tower and fought him with Sigurd. He didn’t give me anything, I gave him gifts, he isn’t giving me anything. What’s going on? Plz help 😭
If check the history tab and search for the npc name it’s tell you want kind of gifts he likes. That increase your favor with him. Do it three days in a row and see if it works
I just use the shield back to back gives u invisibility to all attacks

Armor is pretty linear in terms of upgrades, just whatever armor that has the best Str and Mag resistances is fine :)
The first time you fight a dragon as a story mission by visiting a city you get a op spear very early

Hey, are you talking about the quest for the Wild Furie skill? I did that one as a Thief and was able to receive the item to learn Wild Furie.
I completed the mission as a fighter and he didn't give me the ability... and I have the magic spear vocation at level 8
@@Regor814 Oh yeah? Sorry to hear that. Did you get an item called Paladin’s Enigmata? That’s the item you use to learn Wild Furie.
@@Regor814 Oh and also, I just saw this part of the video @7:05. Try giving Asurd a gift to see if he gives you that item. If he is no longer at the tower, maybe you can find him at the morgue in Battahl or maybe find him at Harve village. I will say that the skill is worth it for sure. Fun class.

I feel like this class is both overpowered and underpowered in the weirdest ways. You have an invincibility shield for a few seconds and if you stun enemies with a charged r1 you can use triangle to instantly kill most small enemies.
Then you have niche abilities such as the stamina drain skill and the one that picks up objects and staggered small enemies to throw.
The weakest skill by far is that chargable magic blast that does not do enough damage to justify it.
I love the class but i feel like it needs a way to self buff its weapons with elements
The infernal is far from the best
It's very nice but just gets outclassed and replaced rather quickly

Upgrading Duospears with Dwarven goes hard. Basically gives insane knockdown along with a balanced stat boost.

personally i prefer a class with some knockdown power the spearknight doesnt feel powerful to me because monsters are getting topple by this vocation attackes unlike the warrior or thief

Thief is better. Thief is outright broken because it inherited Strider's skull splitter, and it has a skill that passively dodges every attack/damage source, and it has a skill that can grapple/topple most enemies for an execute. It even has a stealth skill for "stealth" portions of the game.
