THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LOVE ON THIS BEAUTIES... I'm making a series, what do you want me to show you next ? Mistakes to avoid eyebrows? Liquid lipstick ? Lip liner? Wig application ? LMK ❤️💕xxxxxxx
Summary: 1) Don’t blend downwards or into the high points of your face 2) Blend the lighter parts (concealer &highlight) first. 3) Contour Path: Around the border of your hairline, small indent at the temple, continue down through the hollows of your cheekbones, go down under the jawline 4) Stipple in the contour with a brush or sponge, don’t drag 5) Don’t bronze in weird areas, only in contoured places. 6) Set or bake with translucent powder right after contouring (only on high points and oily areas) 7) Powder the contoured areas with a light powder before bronzing 8) Dark powders are for shadows, light powders are for brightening or plumping. 9) Don’t put anything too orange in the hollows of the cheeks, use something cool toned. 10) Go over the original contour with a powder contour if needed 11) Use a warmer bronzer to look tanner (not too much) 12) Lightly bronze over the contoured areas and down the neck 13) Carve out the cheek bones with a light or translucent powder 14) Use a small brush to highlight only the highest points of your face 15) Use a small brush to contour the bridge and point of your nose to make it smaller. Use a light powder and highlight the center 16) Make sure everything is blended fully.
Everyone's saying she talks too much, but honestly I appreciated the depth and detail. I've watched other contour videos and couldn't grasp the concept they were so brief & general. But yeah, she's super detailed and I needed these life changing tips. #watchingthisin2019
The moment you realize that you have been doing the wrong side of the face this whole time🤦🏻♀️. The best contouring vid I have seen! Thank you, I learned so much!
Thank you. You're the first person whose explained this in a way I understand! I have a square face with no noticeable cheeks and I find it a nightmare to contour. I feel after watching this that I will tackle it like a pro now 😊
I remember one time I forgot to contour my jawline and I took a few pictures for Instagram afterwards. The pictures were awful 😩 I can’t emphasize this enough: YOU COULD NOT SEE WHERE MY FACE ENDED AND MY NECK STARTED !! I looked like a thumb (Which is honestly hilarious but I wasted so much time lol) Edit: I’m watching this video 2 months later, it’s 2am, I read my own comment and was about to reply “omg same !!” 😂
Bronzer is placed where the sun hits your face naturally, contour isn't glowy because its supposed to be a "shadow". Bronzer is NOT the same as Contour.
Highlighter is where the sun hits your face not bronzer. Bronzer adds a warmer tone to your cheeks and temples and jawline, contour sucks in those features as well as your nose and below your lip. My mum is a professional makeup artist and I’m in training. That’s what we’ve both been taught...
You tickled me when you said“you’re creating a new foundation for yourself”. So true lol! Your right and guess what? You’ve schooled me today! Thanks for your expert advice!
Watched so many contour videos and none of them stuck because they didn’t go into detail or they didn’t show what were the mistakes or any other reason but This video checked all my boxes and now i feel so confident and motivated to try it myself so thank u so so much
I’m SO glad I watched this!! The “bad side” is literally what I do! I gave up after a while because it always looked shit. Definitely going to follow this now. Also you’re not annoying like other makeup videos! Sub’dddd
OMG! Your video is just so specific and did helped me a lot while enjoying it. You´re so joyful and natural. Really I was just searching for videoa with DIY primer and you´re video suddenly popped up! I subscribed instantly after watching it. You´re a rockstar. I probably gonna follow you on IG. Best of luck in your career and continue making this kinda tutorial coz you are doing a really good job.
Thank you, this was soo easy to follow, not too over whelming. And most importantly do-able. This is definitely going to help my makeup routine. I've only started wearing makeup for a few months now. And already there is stuff in here thats going to take my makeup up a notch or two.
Thank you!!!! I’m EXTREMELY new to contouring and this was so helpful!!! I love how detailed you were and how you explained the reasoning behind everything rather than just saying “don’t do this”. Most helpful video I have seen yet (and I’ve watched tons)
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!! I just bought my first cream contour sticks and was struggling so hard until I Saw this video. I didn't know if I needed to use a sponge or brush and my contour looked terrible. This helped me SO MUCH having you go step by step and how to work the sponge and everything. Thank you oxoxox
At 42 and never really been 1 for wearing makeup (and especially wearing it correctly!), a HUGE THANK YOU 😊 as I can’t wait to try out contouring as you’ve made it seem achievable to apply it well so hopefully now I can look a better, more pulled together version of myself ✌🏼😘
Okay 1st thing, you are absolutely stunning and I love how in-depth you were, thank you for that! Could you possibly do a natural kinda neutral eyeshadow day look and then go i into a dramatic either smoky eye or a popping, bright color, going to the club look tutorial? I'm just learning lol.
Girl I don't contour. I don't even wear fondation. But I had to watch this video because I love your vids. You're such a beauty from outside and inside
Tip. Don't highlight the laughterline, the more product you put on the more it creeses. It doesn't help to CONCEAL IT. You also have to make shore not to put contour on your jawline, you have to do it underneath. Otherwise it'll just dissappear
I loved this video! Not only she's bubbly in sense of humor but I actually learned with the way she explained it. And I didn't mind the length of the video at all! 💕
You probably already have a round face, in which case you would avoid putting the blush in the center of your face and just lightly brush around the sides of your face above the contour and below the highlight, on a bit of an angle. So middle of your cheekbone on a slight downward slope but not getting anywhere near the center of your face.
I LOVE how she uses the word “snatched” 😂 it makes me so happy to hear someone talking about contouring and using the word snatched. It just makes it 100x more like YASSSSS GIRL! You get that contour!!
Thiiiiis so badly needed to be made! I see this so much. Alllllso I love how you kept it straight to the point. It didn't need to be a 1/2 hour thing. You're so lovely 😩😍❤️🙏🏻
I’ve been having problems with contouring my face because I have very harsh and masculine features, but this video honestly makes so much more sense now. To everyone saying you’re talking too much- you’re literally just explaining everything which is the whole point of making these videos in the first place. So thank you thank you thank you. I love the explanations!
this is only the second tutorial i've watched, I loved the detail and didnt think it went on too long. I preferred the wrong and right way before I start making a mess of my face. Keep up the good tutorials, you're wonderful.

New to this channel and love it so far!! Love Love Love when I feel like the video maker is having a convo w me instead of just giving instructions!! I hope the other vids are as fabulous as this one!! 💓
You saved my life!! I so-so contour, but I honestly have been contouring it wrong the whole time and I've known it, actually quite just like your "wrong" side. I just didnt know how to go about the right way and i felt like all the other videos were complex or move advanced but you explained EVERYTHING so well and on the smallest detail. You gave great explanations and teachings from scratch. Other videos kind of just figured you know what some things meant and how they were done- baking!!- but now I know thanks to you omg im sososo thankfulll thank youuu!
Great tutorial. The length was perfect as it didn't cut too many corners. I think you have a great friendly personality too. I'll definitely be checking out your other vids. 👍👍👍
Dear lord I wish I had seen this 2 years ago... I got really god at doing all this wrong, but like hey, at least I can now do it really well correctly now. Dear lord ....
I love how you explain the difference between both sides. I was doing my make up all wrong. I wish I could send a picture of my face now after applying my make following your vidio. It's a big transformation. I'm impressed. Thanks Dory
Omg your accent is beautiful loved your tips really helpful, I just found your channel and subscribed. a question tho the face power you used is "finishing powder" does it work also as a sitting power? thanx
Since no one ever answered your question, I will. Yes the finishing powder also works as a setting powder. She uses Laura Mercier Translucent Finishing Powder to set her concealer at 12:40
Love your tips, to date I muddy up my bronzer (deep bronze powder) into the front check with a drawn mess, then takes twice and long and twice as much trouble. Thank you, I will now remember this video! Woohoo. No dragging... your a makeup angel!
First of all, I've learned that when contouring on the cheeks, one is not supposed to to the duck face thing because it actually brings down the contour. So what is right?
THANK YOU FOR ALL THE LOVE ON THIS BEAUTIES... I'm making a series, what do you want me to show you next ? Mistakes to avoid eyebrows? Liquid lipstick ? Lip liner? Wig application ? LMK ❤️💕xxxxxxx

I came into this understanding generally how to contour, but there were a couple bits I didn't know, and I appreciate the explanations and theory
I agree
MEE TOOOOO!!!! I 10000000000000000% agree! I’m a beginner and I need to know detail!!!

wow what a difference. The correct side you look younger than the missy side. Nice insight on contouring. I´m newbie to contour. Thanks for sharing.
this is the best contour video ever! it makes so much sense now. especially seeing both sides.
Bronzer is placed where the sun hits your face naturally, contour isn't glowy because its supposed to be a "shadow". Bronzer is NOT the same as Contour.
She does say that in the video around minute 15:30 if I'm not mistaken :)
Tysm! I needed that!
I kept thinking this, found it difficult to keep watching in fact
Highlighter is where the sun hits your face not bronzer. Bronzer adds a warmer tone to your cheeks and temples and jawline, contour sucks in those features as well as your nose and below your lip. My mum is a professional makeup artist and I’m in training. That’s what we’ve both been taught...

Every time I do blush it makes my face look SO ROUND. Teach me how to apply for different face shapes?
You probably already have a round face, in which case you would avoid putting the blush in the center of your face and just lightly brush around the sides of your face above the contour and below the highlight, on a bit of an angle. So middle of your cheekbone on a slight downward slope but not getting anywhere near the center of your face.
