Roxanne Perez is the future of the WWE Women's Division (along with Nikkita Lyons). She is an in-ring prodigy at AGE-20. Just see her match with Tiffany Stratton or that six-woman tag match involving Gigi Dolin to see how wise she is beyond her years. She still needs to work on her mic skills though, and if I'm WWE, I would lean more into the "Prodigy" character instead of yet another underdog character that they are already using for Cora Jade. Again ... she is 20 years old. WWE would be wise to invest in this young lady, along with a few others there in NXT.
I think the fact that Roxanne is friends with Cora and they're both super young will naturally create some sense of underdog vibe for her regardless, but I do agree that The Prodigy gimmick should be leaned into more. The whole "we know she's good, we expect her to be great, might take some time tho" kinda thing. Indi telling her "if anyone can beat Mandy it's you" was a nice start in leaning towards that. But yeah, Rok-C (which is a good nickname for a girl named Roxanne, so good choice of ring name by WWE) has both industry and fans talking about her like she's already going places.
She has been wrestling since 14, so she is a six year vet already. I've been on shows with her over the last few years, and she was a great worker for years, and like you said, she's only 20.

She was an indie darling for like 2 years, that was literally it. Besides from winning the ROH Women’s World Championship a few months before being signed to NXT, what else was she known for? Exactly. She’s super young and has every reason to be in NXT. Finn, Joe and Nakamura were household names before coming to WWE and had competed all over the world for over a decade and were multi World Champions in several top promotions. That’s the difference. Not to mention, they were in their mid 30’s and Roxanne is literally 20 years of age.
