  • This Creo Parametric tutorial video shows you how to use the Declare command to link parts and assemblies to Notebooks, and then write Relations between Notebook parameters and model dimensions as part of the Top Down Design process for assembly modeling.

An amazing feature! I was struggling adding parameters and relations on all of my components separately. It will save me a lot of time as of now, thanks!

Thank you Dave for this awesome demonstration. I have a question about this section please. From what I understood, after we finish creating the notebook (like in the previous video), we create the 3D model as if it is not driven by the notebook then at the end we link the critical dimensions by the notebook relations and parameters is it right ? thank you

Gasmi, you can link the model to the Notebook at any time. You can Declare it right after you create the part and as you build features you can write Relations between the model dimensions and the Notebook parameters. You don't have to wait until the model is completely designed. Basically whenever it is easiest or makes the most sense.
