Watching this master of vocals and guitar on February 14th ❤. 2024 Valentines day. I recently realized just what a great musician Glen Campbell was. Truly exceptional. 🎉
At that time maybe everyone wasn't into that. But I was as a 10 year old in 1967 and I'm 66 years old now. And I thought that one day I could play guitar like him. But the answer was no no no no no no but I do try. No I have a really cool guitar. And I'm going to learn some more stuff of his. And I mean the entire song not just parts and pieces like I've always done. There's plenty of it on the internet to learn. And it's free. Glory Hallelujah

I clearly agree. And I was 10 years old When I first saw him on TV. And I knew he was special! I play a guitar because of him period and I listen to love songs because of him
Totally agree. And what was amazing was he couldn't even talk in the late stages of Alzheimer's but he could still get up on stage and play like this. Greatest guitarist to ever live
I can only imagine being in that orchestra playing with Glen. How amazing would that be. At 73 yrs old, i have been listening to Glen forever. He always amazes me every time I listen to him. RIP
@@technojunkindatrunk Yes I would have loved to see him. Unfortunately, I never got the chance. Thankfully we still have his music to love, cry and be moved forever listening to another American great. Thank you for your kind words.
I’m getting to 65 now and love the gift he gave me with his music and the interest to buy a guitar. Took lessons and became the best home mediocre guitar player around from 11 to now. I never became famous but later on that gift would save me therapeutically through 15 spine surgeries and rehab. Thank you Mr. Campbell for the gift to help me bare through that pain RIP. Music is a powerful healer.

When he performs MacArthur Park it’s truly beautifully done. Such a powerful performance. Literally brings tears to my heart. His music still resonates in my heart & soul and always will. Time in a bottle is also done perfectly. Love you Glen ❤
Oh my. How in my older age at 68 in 2022 takes me back to the gorgeous and wonderful music of my youth in the 60's and 70's. My past was wonderful. Thank you God.
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face!..
I am tearing up. The emotion in Glen's voice on this and other songs like Galvenston and By The Time I Get To Phoenix is what set him apart. This song was written specifically for Glen by Jimmy Webb, he knew he could bring the right tone it needed. I have always loved it. The line "I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time" means so much more to me; my wife of 50 years passed 6 months ago and I miss her everyday. Glen's music is the sound track of our lives, every song has a memory of when we first heard it or a special moment we shared. That is the reason Glen and Jimmy's songs will stand the test of time. Few artists can achieve that. When you add in all of the sessions work he did with the Wrecking Crew, there are few important and popular pop and rock songs from the 60s to the 80s that he did not play on. RIP peace Glen, you are not forgotten.
He will never be forgotten. This concert calms me down when I am feeling bad and sad - I fall asleep to this. I am sorry for your loss, Patrick - I can not imagine how har it has been on you
If I could go back in time, one of the things I would do is to watch Glen Campbell live. A legend among legends. Music that transcends generations, and always will. Thank you Glen
I new about Glen growing up in the 70's but never really listened to him. He was the music of my parents. But have recently tried to learn to play a couple of his songs. He was talented in so many ways. Watching this made me realise that he was actually a real crooner and not just country and western. And we should not forget to mention his talent as a guitar player. And the bagpipes! Who knew!
My mom and uncle were born in Junction City, Kansas. I took them to see Glenn Campbell perform in Santa Ynez, CA in 2009. Every time I here "Wichita Lineman," on the radio, I can' stop thinking about how much my mom and uncle enjoyed the performance. I'm 62 years old and I still can't hold back the tears every time I hear the song on the radio. Thank you for some great music Glenn Campbell!
Glenn Campbell performed at the Chumash Casino. His daughter performed too. There's a small airport in Santa Ynez. Glenn Campbell's daughter flew him in to Santa Ynez. Great concert. I'm visiting relatives in Manhattan, Kansas. Will be headed to Junction City. My uncle is buried there.
I'm 70 and have had 3 surgeries within a year and still cannot walk . Came back here to get peace from Glen's Beautiful Songs . Please all say a prayer for me all I want is to walk Again . THANK YOU ALL ❤ Bob
Just say your comment Bob. I'm a blood washed Child of God. I'll be praying for you. If your up and walking already please let me know if your not walking I'll be praying and please let me know when you take those new first steps so I can thank our GOD.
This is one of the greatest concerts by an American treasure Mr Glen Campbell. Absolutely one of the greatest of all time shows I’ve ever scene. The orchestra is fabulous behind him also. A++++ Rating
Glen Campbell was the most talented musician ever because of his voice and the many instruments he could play. Such a beautiful talent, thank you for all the sweet memories and your music. ❤❤
His wife and daughter put him on stage not knowing the words to songs he's sang 50 years it broke my heart . It was all for 💰 I cried every time I watched a episode My father was a personal friend of Mr. Campbell.Rev.Leroy Jenkins wasy Dad. Man of faith was the name of the movie.Big stars we
We're in the movie Mr. Campbell was a great man. His other daughter wanted to stop them but they would not even let her see him or go to the funeral. My father was gone he passed away 😢 or he would have taken care of those bitches.i felt so sad for the older daughter.🎉 Thanks for listening.
How much talent can one man have? An absolute next level guitarist and singer can’t really think of anyone else with such an amazing voice and guitar skills, he was shredding well before most of the modern guitar gods, was no surprise when Eddie Van Halen begged Alice Cooper to get him a guitar lesson with Glen Campbell, the man came from another world🎸🎸🎸
Glen had so much talent and was so often overlooked!!! Not just his voice, but he could play any instrument with strings!! Or a bagpipe! He put so many Hollyweird type to shame. He is certainly missed. He's making beautiful music in Heaven now! ❤️❤️❤️
One more thing Linda.. Did you know he was one of the members of the “Wrecking Crew?” Check it out here on TH-cam. He played on literally 100’s of the songs in the late 50’s, 60’s & into the 70’s.
@@glennchristie2316 one thing about the "wrecking crew"...you weren't just expected to be a virtuoso on your instrument, you were expected to contribute riffs and musical ideas on the songs being played, because there was a whole new genre of music being created...see "the first Lady of bass, Carol Kaye" as a prime example.
Glen Campbell is in a class by himself. No one can compare...his talent and personality...wow. Great set list. I had forgotten how many hits he had. So glad I came across this jewel.
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face!..
For those of you who don't know, Glenn Campbell was part of what they called ( The Wrecking Crew ) look up the name on TH-cam. It's a great Documentary that will blow your mind ! Glenn was a studio musician and as part of The Wrecking Crew, helped to develop so many hits for more bands and chart toppers, I could not list them all here. However, this is why Glenn was a Member of the Beach Boys! No kidding, life as you thought you knew it will be changed, Long live the members of The Wrecking crew.
The voice, the elegant and effortless guitar playing, the musical timing, the reputation earned from years as a top studio musician. The sheer ability of the man, the emotional rags to riches story. Oh my. We are so lucky, lucky, lucky to have had this in our lives.

He was one of the greatest!! Singer, writer, actor, and all around great man! Most young people don’t realize what a FANTASTIC GUITARIST that he was. I cried when watching his last interview as the dementia was taking him!!
In Sept., 1967 Glen was on a tour with Red Foley and Lynn Anderson in the western states. "Gentle..." had just finished it's run and "...Phoenix" was moving up when they arrived in SLC, UT. After the concert, the local Capitol Records rep (I was a radio DJ then) invited me to join them when they visited a local night club. After we'd been there about 5 minutes. Glen jumped on the stage and asked the house band if he could sit in with them. 6 songs later, we headed out to a local all-nite coffee shop. we were there until I had to leave at 5:30 to get to my job. It was a night of jokes, stories and gossip. Glen was great to be around. I sat next to him and hardly said a word but it is still one of my favorite memories of my DJ days. Thanks Glen for all the music and fun. You were one of the key reasons that being a radio DJ back then was such a good time!!
I am just 71 years old, and I pray that my heart will continue to enjoy this great musician and the creativity around him. Thank God for the opportunity to see and hear these great moments.
@@jschroeder2761 As an orchestral musician (bassist) I can tell you it was even more amazing for the musicians than for the audience. I remember a week when Arthur Fiedler was a guest conductor. I had played for many years, music major, etc. Fiedler taught us so much just that one week. Another level.
Back in the day I used to avidly listen to and enjoy all of Glen Cambell's recorded work without realising what a great guitar player he was (no visuals). Now on TH-cam I see him being feted by symphony orchestras no less and other legendary guitar greats and my respect for him has reached another level. Thanks TH-cam.
Since 1960 I have spent most of my life on radio playing music. Out of all the performers of any kind of music, rock, country, pop, whatever, no performer is as impressive as Glen Campbell. The class of a Sinatra, the talent to carry off the best of Jimmy Webb's compositions, in the studio or on the stage, this is truly a master. This is one of the finest concerts one could experience.
Bob I worked for Ovation Instruments way back in the 70s and Mr Cambell would come in to try out guitars There are gentlemen and than there is Mr C It was the most enjoyable times of my life talking with and interacting with him. Now and than he would sing a bit during a trail and like everyone stopped working and came around to the sound room
He also loved the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour! Thanks Glenn for a life time of wonderful talent shared with all! See you up there soon! Along with my Daddy who looked like you and loved to sing your songs. He couldn’t touch your talent but hearing you play and sing, I cry cause I miss you both.
One of the best live shows EVER. This is a definitive Campbell concert. That beautiful tenor voice, emotive delivery and great guitar playing is musical sorcery. R.I.P. great man!
Sheer perfection. This is a blatant example that labelling music in genres makes no sense at all; there's only music and it's up to the artist to make it shine or not. This man was a explosive mixture of talent and heart. Thanks for sharing.

I clearly agree. And I was 10 years old When I first saw him on TV. And I knew he was special! I play a guitar because of him period and I listen to love songs because of him
There are no words to describe Glen Campbell-----he will live forever. His music will never die! Pure genius. Not at all like today's music.
True that. Well said. An amazing talent.
Totally agree. And what was amazing was he couldn't even talk in the late stages of Alzheimer's but he could still get up on stage and play like this. Greatest guitarist to ever live
There will never be another country singer like Glen Campbell
I can only imagine being in that orchestra playing with Glen. How amazing would that be. At 73 yrs old, i have been listening to Glen forever. He always amazes me every time I listen to him. RIP
Bless you Kevin! I’m 68 and feel I’ve been listening forever as well. Wish I could’ve seen him in concert! An incredible talent!
@@technojunkindatrunk Yes I would have loved to see him. Unfortunately, I never got the chance. Thankfully we still have his music to love, cry and be moved forever listening to another American great. Thank you for your kind words.
@@kevinmack1866. Thank you Kevin for responding. Bless you dear!
My heart goes out to you. I a back patient also it's no fun. Thank God you had your guitar. I'm a preacher yes I turned to my refuge the bible. We share this great talent Gleen he was great and keep his music clean
Watching Glen Campbell in November 2023❤
An again in '24.
When he performs MacArthur Park it’s truly beautifully done. Such a powerful performance. Literally brings tears to my heart. His music still resonates in my heart & soul and always will. Time in a bottle is also done perfectly.
Love you Glen ❤
I go to sleep with this concert - it is so calming
He was so handsome, talented, and so sweet. Also gotta give Kudos to his daughter Debbie. She has a beautiful voice and was perfect 👍🏻
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him will not perish but have everlasting life
God also gave us Glen Campbell for a time. His music is heavenly. Can't wait to see him in heaven singing glories to God in the highest.
Oh my. How in my older age at 68 in 2022 takes me back to the gorgeous and wonderful music of my youth in the 60's and 70's. My past was wonderful. Thank you God.
Oh yes. Me too at 73 now.
Yes it was so special, and yes, thank you God.
Me 2 @ 80, Glenn you were great
I hear you brother. Our Vietnam war era had its best and worst of times.
Sometimes all we had at 11 or 14 was the music. No one touched my heart ever as much as he did
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 those were the good days. they are gone. But I relive hearing my favorite singer, Glen Campbell.
I could listen to this incredible man forever & ever.
Thank god for these great recordings!
Rest in peace Glen Campbell you will be missed forever✨

Gggreat concert !!!!!!
The orchestra makes his talent all the more richer here. Hoorah to the then South Dekota Symphony!
And..Wow..the pianist..T J Kuenster..a wizard!
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face!..
I'm in Newzealand
I have never seen such beautiful voice until 1year ago and Chris Stapleton has the same effect with me
I am tearing up.
My prayers are with you Friend! May GOD be with you!
He will never be forgotten. This concert calms me down when I am feeling bad and sad - I fall asleep to this. I am sorry for your loss, Patrick - I can not imagine how har it has been on you
Great post 🩷
„Since I Fell For You” is a song that my parents played on the hi-fi and I will always know the lyrics.
Anyone watching in 2023???
2024 .
2024
Yes, 2024
No, 2024 !
2024 and loving it.
It is a deep regret that I never saw him in concert.
If I could go back in time, one of the things I would do is to watch Glen Campbell live. A legend among legends. Music that transcends generations, and always will. Thank you Glen
Your words of tribute are so beautifully fitting.
Thank you for including them.
We didn’t appreciate him enough, a talent unsurpassed.
Sometimes, one thumbs up isn't nearly enough.
I love that thought!
understatement!
I am still watching, in 2023…….
Me too
I new about Glen growing up in the 70's but never really listened to him. He was the music of my parents. But have recently tried to learn to play a couple of his songs. He was talented in so many ways. Watching this made me realise that he was actually a real crooner and not just country and western. And we should not forget to mention his talent as a guitar player. And the bagpipes! Who knew!
What an amazing performance, we were blessed to have this man on our planet.
IN HIS DAY OTHER SINGERS COULNT WALK IN THE SAME SUN AS GLEN, IM GLAD I LIVED IN THE TIME OF GLEN CAMPBELL.
He always brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my mouth and gladness to my heart. Thankfull.
This show needs to be in a time capsule to be opened every 10 years as a blessing for the ages. Truly timeless!
No words to explain, just Beautiful 🙏
only Make believe. Beautifully sung by Glen Campbell. And great orchestral backing. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺 💙. Love from Australia
I was also born at the Fort,. Junction City KS
where in Santa Ynez did he perform?
Glenn Campbell performed at the Chumash Casino. His daughter performed too. There's a small airport in Santa Ynez. Glenn Campbell's daughter flew him in to Santa Ynez. Great concert. I'm visiting relatives in Manhattan, Kansas. Will be headed to Junction City. My uncle is buried there.
Glen Campbell voice was just like a 40yr single malt, smooth and warm that gave you a tingle. You will forever be missed
@donaldarthur3497 Thank you Donald very much and please continue to remember me In your prayers .
This is one of the greatest concerts by an American treasure Mr Glen Campbell. Absolutely one of the greatest of all time shows I’ve ever scene.
The orchestra is fabulous behind him also. A++++ Rating
Amazing mr glen Campbell i miss your all song RIP
Glenn Campbell's musical talents are beyond incredible!!!
He is one of my favorites. RIP
Pure talent, what a performer. I could listen to Glenn's music everyday. The legend lives on👍
Muistan miten hienosti Glenn soitti Kitara soolon suurelle orkesterille vuonna 1979
No Guitar Player is better - all time Best
Glen Campbell was the most talented musician ever because of his voice and the many instruments he could play. Such a beautiful talent, thank you for all the sweet memories and your music. ❤❤
Can anyone IMAGINE being a musician on stage for this show....unbelievable
His wife and daughter put him on stage not knowing the words to songs he's sang 50 years it broke my heart . It was all for 💰 I cried every time I watched a episode
My father was a personal friend of Mr.
I can’t get enough listening to this classic concert. Rest in peace Glenn.❤
I turned 86 on 12/17/24 and am so happy to be blessed to enjoy Glen's wonderful talent. Gone butnever forgotten.❤
My Great grand daughter who is 8 loves to sing along with Glen.😂
I listened to this concert every day towards the end of 12 hour days and it gets me through hard times
At 65 in this performance his voice was still amazing.
I don't leave much comments
This guy was the real deal and he has a great attitude and I hope we are all left with his eternal happiness
As close to a pure musical genius as there is. And a wonderful person. Timeless
A very clever man !
One more thing Linda.. Did you know he was one of the members of the “Wrecking Crew?” Check it out here on TH-cam. He played on literally 100’s of the songs in the late 50’s, 60’s & into the 70’s.
He wasn't a bad actor either, he played a good part in John Wayne's movie "true grit"...
@@glennchristie2316 lol🤣...you wouldn't recognize them either...they all looked like high school nerds, not that I wasn't pretty nerdy back then.
My fav of all time,
He is missed by all music lovers unforgettable talent R.I.P.GLEN !!!
what a voice and great energy ! Thankyou dear Glen xxxx
Glen Campbell is in a class by himself. No one can compare...his talent and personality...wow. Great set list. I had forgotten how many hits he had. So glad I came across this jewel.
I was a big Frank fan but Glenn is something elesey
Simple music can make you sing simple hug can make you feel better simple things can make you happy, i hope my simple Hello brings smile to your face!..
Thank you Glen!
What a "lush" sound this Orchastra brings to elevate Glen's music!!! Such great talent on one stage for us to enjoy in 2022! Thank you 😊
Lol interesting choice of words. But yes totally they are great.
CANADA 🇨🇦 🍁 🇨🇦 🍁 = LOVE'S GLENN LENGEND we love ❤️ Sir and miss terribly Rip 🙏 may God bless u 🙏 ❤️ sir 🙏 love from Canada 🇨🇦 western Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 Rimbey Alberta western 🇨🇦 love 🇨🇦 Rimbey Alberta western Canada 🇨🇦
Still watching and listening and missing him in person in 2024
The most versatile guitar player ever!
He was one of the greatest!! Singer, writer, actor, and all around great man! Most young people don’t realize what a FANTASTIC GUITARIST that he was. I cried when watching his last interview as the dementia was taking him!!
I saw an interview where the great Merle Haggard said that Glen was the most talented singer/ musician he’d ever known.
I just LOVE how Glen melded with the Sioux Falls Orchestra... true genius!
I can't imagine how much of an honor that was to play in that orchestra and then play with Glen Campbell.
Wrecking Crew . He could play with anyone ❤️
Nice concert. High regard for Glen Campbell.
Yes a legend
I love you mr.glen your such a very nice person and entertainer❤❤❤im from the philippines❤❤❤❤
Salamat
Back in the day I used to avidly listen to and enjoy all of Glen Cambell's recorded work without realising what a great guitar player he was (no visuals). Now on TH-cam I see him being feted by symphony orchestras no less and other legendary guitar greats and my respect for him has reached another level. Thanks TH-cam.
So great, truly a national treasure. Love ya Glen.
I’m not certain, I think Glenn was a backup artist on one of Franks 1960’s albums. He was a member of the Wrecking Crew.
Glenn Campbell was a God Send. His music fills my soul.I am so happy that I can watch the videos of the Con certs he made.He is good for what ails you.
One of the best live shows EVER. This is a definitive Campbell concert. That beautiful tenor voice, emotive delivery and great guitar playing is musical sorcery. R.I.P. great man!
I couldn't agreeore. Just beautiful.
This symphony nailed MacArthur's Park, heard all of Glen's versions. Just rocks, this one.
Sheer perfection. This is a blatant example that labelling music in genres makes no sense at all; there's only music and it's up to the artist to make it shine or not. This man was a explosive mixture of talent and heart. Thanks for sharing.
Great concert. He really could play a guitar great n all the hits amazing entertainer❤
Glen Campbell ' Legend. I am So glad to have met this Man " Glen came to New Zealand Aotearoa & showed Up in my little village called Pakipaki . We gave Glen a full Maori welcome onto our Marae grounds ' Meeting House , with Haka & action songs from Us & our children from Pakipaki School. After speeches ! we walked through to our Wharekai ! Eating house , I felt Glen was so overwhelmed with meeting us as it showed in the Songs he sang for Us , Glen has the most powerful voice " a moment in time I will not forget & still have the photo's of that event ' a most spectacular Man.🎉❤
You were very lucky to get to know him even for the night he's been through a lot in his life. I'm in San Antonio Texas reading your comment and glad Glenn came and Touched the life's in your Grand Village. Thank you for treating him and his family so well 🇨🇱🧨🍺🌮💥
I am 62 and have watched him for so long and back in the 70s even. What a Legend, I didn't know that he was a Session player in Los Angeles back in the day. Amazing. I've seen him riding his riding lawnmower to the liquor store for booze back in the day but he pulled through it and came back out Shining to visit you in New Zealand. What a Man!!!
Wow...thanks for sharing that.
Always a gentleman, always a consummate artist
