I absolutely love Sam as Jamie in Outlander, Loved him as Tom Buckingham in SAS Red Notice, Loved him as great bad guy Jimmy Dalton in Bloodshot, and Really Loved him starring as super spy Sebastian Henshaw in The Spy Who Dumped Me! He's even great in early tv shows Doctors and Island at War. (Both free on YT.) But most of all I love his humility, kindness and obvious love of helping others. What a guy! He'd make the best Bond since Connery!!

Great interview. I always get pulled into the characters Sam plays. That must be talent as it doesn't happen with many other actors. Jamie is and will always be my favorite. I am so glad he was not on Game of Thrones. We might not have had such a wonderful Jaime otherwise.

I am blessed. I met my Jaime, & we've been together for almost 25 years. He is a Scot by blood, & has the heart of a warrior, he is a spouse, & a life partner; we are not fully alive unless we are together. I hope someone - everyone - finds their Jaime, too.

The whole outlander production is a success and a good entertainment for the audience nevertheless one can imagine that it was really hard work behind the scene and you have also to be passionate about the job of acting at all to resist all challenges. I am too old confusing actor and Diana Gabaldons figure of Jamie Fraser, but you have raised my interest in Scottish history in which - I have to confess - I was not interested before! I ldid learn something new! For this I am thankful beside the emotional transfer of a long, romantic an enduring kind of love which can be described only by a woman-author in that way and Sam you did transfer it very convincingly! I absolutely love Sam as Jamie in Outlander, Loved him as Tom Buckingham in SAS Red Notice, Loved him as great bad guy Jimmy Dalton in Bloodshot, and Really Loved him starring as super spy Sebastian Henshaw in The Spy Who Dumped Me! He's even great in early tv shows Doctors and Island at War. (Both free on YT.)
But most of all I love his humility, kindness and obvious love of helping others.
What a guy! He'd make the best Bond since Connery!!

Great interview. I always get pulled into the characters Sam plays. That must be talent as it doesn't happen with many other actors. Jamie is and will always be my favorite. I am so glad he was not on Game of Thrones. We might not have had such a wonderful Jaime otherwise.

I am blessed. I met my Jaime, & we've been together for almost 25 years. He is a Scot by blood, & has the heart of a warrior, he is a spouse, & a life partner; we are not fully alive unless we are together. I hope someone - everyone - finds their Jaime, too.
It is true that we have to separate the actor from the character… but I think it is because you do such a great job of giving life to this character that we love him so much and are having difficulties to separate the two of them 🤷🏻♀️😉 I too would marry a Jamie Fraser in a heart beat if he existed for real 😬🥰 Good job Sam 👍🏻😃
For many roles, you are right! The actor and character are intertwined. But in Sam’s case the actor overshadows the character.

@Sam Heughan, good interview... and well made. The actor seems to remain a 'normal' man with 'normal' wishes to go on for success with his career. The whole outlander production is a success and a good entertainment for the audience nevertheless one can imagine that it was really hard work behind the scene and you have also to be passionate about the job of acting at all to resist all challenges. I am too old confusing actor and Diana Gabaldons figure of Jamie Fraser, but you have raised my interest in Scottish history in which - I have to confess - I was not interested before! I ldid learn something new! For this I am thankful beside the emotional transfer of a long, romantic an enduring kind of love which can be described only by a woman-author in that way and Sam you did transfer it very convincingly! (Excuse my horrible English)
