It happened to me the same situation , my host family decided to leave me when i had the flight back to Italy for Easter holidays. I had already the ticket to come back to Scotland and then I had to find a job and an accomodation in 10 days. I was 19 in that time, probably I was scary and I felt like that place didn't belong to me anymore. I decided to come back here and I was pretty devasted. If you are not in that situation you can't imagine. My parents complained about my decision but I think it was right in that moment. Thank you for sharing your experience :)
Hi Alice! Thank you soooo much for watching and taking the time to write a comment. It's so sad to hear this happening to people, but sometimes it does. Wishing you all the best and thanks for supporting me and the channel! Xoxo
I think it says a lot about you that you were able to have such an impact on your host kids, and that you were able to turn down your new host family in Madrid because you recognized you wouldn’t be able to bring your full self to the table. And that you found a replacement so quickly! Lol. I wish you luck Graham and thank you for sharing your experience. It’s been eye opening for me as I pursue my year abroad (I leave in October! 😁) Looking forward to more of your videos.
It was the experience of a lifetime and I am soooo fortunate to have lived it. I love those kiddos with my whole heart!! Thanks for watching and I can't wait to hear what you think about Spain ❤
Please share why the Seville family did not extend their contract if you had such a positive experience with the host parents and their children. This perplexes me. Additionally, why did you not also propose to extend your contract, while doing some of the new private tutoring with other children in the town? Couldn’t you have negotiated a new Au Pair proposal/contract?
Hi! Truthfully, they just didn't want another au pair. I was au pair #5 and they just wanted a break and some alone time as a family. I love them soooo much and we are still very much in contact!
