  • Paul Stewart and Michael Klein share the stunning new features of the new EOS-1Dx Mark III and show the true capabilities of this remarkable camera.
Paul is the Professional Camera Business Manager for Canon Australia. He covers the features and technical specifications and how they will benefit you.
Michael Klein is a full time professional sports photographer with the Melbourne Herald Sun. He commenced shooting in the days of film and has watched and experienced the evolution of Pro cameras. Michael is really legendary in his specialist area of sports photography.
Canon arranged for Michael to use one of the first EOS-1Dx Mark III's available in the world at the 2020 Melbourne Open Tennis. Michael describes how he felt that the features of the EOS-1Dx Mark III were so useful that he felt that he was "almost cheating" by using it!
Watch as Michael describes how the new features of this camera enhanced his ability to take "keeper images". Even though this camera is so ground-breaking in so many respects, Michael discusses why the skills of the person behind the camera are still so important.... why photographers will not be replaced by robots - a concern for us all in this fast moving world that we are in.

Hi, Great informative video. But canon
1dx mark 3 doesn't support clean out put 4:2:2 10 bit in 50p/60p through HDMI. When I connect it with atomos ninja v external recorder it only record dci 4k in 24p/30p. When I set it for dci 4k 50p/60p with C log in 1dx mark 3, Atomos doesn't record. In spite of using orignal atomos atomflex pro HDMI cable which support 4k 60p , HDR and HDMI 2.0a ready. Canon should figure it out and correct it by software firmware update very soon.

"110,000 frames" in 2 weeks ,,,, That's the mark of a shitty photographer ! The Camera is good for 500,000 frames !

The time for such dinosaur is over. The Sony A9 II can do 95% what the 1DX III can, except the video part. The DSLR functions of the 1DX Mark III are not convincing or leading. Sorry to say that.

Thanks Stefan. The A9II is certainly an excellent camera. Thank you for your thoughts. This camera has many strong features built into this camera - the high ISO, the robustness of the camera, the shadow highlight detail etc etc. Warm regards, Peter Michael, Managing Director, michaels, e:petermichael@michaels.com.au

@@michaelscamera Yes, I know. But I wait on the Canon EOS R5. I put high expectations into this professional mirrorless from Canon. Nice to see they are moving now at a very high pace. Hope the R5 will come soon!
