Thanks for the tour! You are set up exactly how I want to be. A "warehouse" for the online stores then a seperate walk-in area for retail. Keeping customers out of the warehouse.
The parts aisles are in the same room as the retail, so it's almost impossible to keep people away from those drawers, but we try to supervise if they're looking for parts or minifigs. If they want more than a few items or aren't sure which specific things they're looking for, we try to steer them toward placing a local pickup Bricklink order. Blocking off those aisles from customers would just impede our own access. There is a similar sized upstairs room which we use for sorting and storage, which most customers don't see. This room was in my first tour video, it's changed a bit though since the parts have moved to the new room. I'll film another tour of that space eventually.
Yup. I may have pulled that out after the video, but I honestly don't remember. Just goes to show you how little this bulk has been picked over before it gets put out on the table! We just put a fresh batch out recently, I'm sure there's some really good stuff in there, too.
