Me and my mom where at Jubilee Stadium the day before he passed out on stage. He WAS insane. He grabbed his mic and drug that line up into the 30th row and was hanging off the balcony. He was giving 200%...The guys a definite showman and a crowd pleaser. I'm thankful me and my mom could enjoy him that night.
I remember watching this on Much. Had the biggest crush on Matt then and now that he's older, have an even bigger crush on him. His lyrics, his voice, the way he thinks everything about this man is just perfection. He's a special kind of human being and gift to the music industry.
Matt Good has been my favorite Musician since I heard "Everything is Automatic" in the mid 90s. I love his solo work as well, and I just can't believe his physical transformation over the decades... it's like looking at 2 totally different people.
1. My Out of Style is Coming Back 0:00 2. Strangest One of All 3:30 3. Apparitions 7:40 4. Rico 13:40 5. Indestructible 16:42 6. Symbolistic White Walls 20:10 7. Everything is Automatic 25:29
Ahhh the good ol days of muchmusic man use too have it on much all day everyday even if it wasnt something i liked so much variety of music and the Canadian talent comjn out at that time was unbelievable. The mid 90s and early 2000 was such a great time for music.
thanks for upoad this is gold!!! look at everyone!! no cell phones , just good old fashion people rocking out!!! i woulda loved to be a part of this! Such a humble and simple era! This makes me so proud to be canadian ...god i miss the 90s too
Oh god I remember that time when Matthew had long hair, MGB was like the third or fourth band I saw live, I was 13 years old. Doesn't make me any younger, great memories though.
I love this show! My Out of Style is Coming Back is my favourite song of his! Thanks for sharing. I would pay money for a clearer version of this show, though.
Despite the quality, this live version of Apparitions is one of my favourite anything’s ever!! I remember watching this live in ‘99, I was 17. I adored his voice then & still do now
Didn't know "Last Of The Ghetto Astronauts" or "Raygun" even existed until I watched this performance...bought them both the next day (was getting hungry for new MGB, little did I know that somewhere "down in a roller rink...")
I'm shocked. They sound so close to the record. Unfortunately the guitar was a little bit too distorted.. but they sound on point. Great upload to one of the most unappreciated rock bands ever.
Hey Taylor, if you still have the VHS somewhere do you know if it has the the 3 songs missing from this video? I've been dying to see the full version for years
This was recorded in winter 1999, February or March if I remember correctly, I thought it coincided with post secondary reading weeks. Beautiful Midnight came out in September. But in the original airing of this they said that the band was taking a break from the studio to play this show

Ahh.. miss the f’n 90s. Luv Matt Good. One of Canada’s greatest bands! Saw him live at the Town Pump, Commodore, and many other places.

Must be from the medication he takes.
He doesn't look the same..... but I'm glad his voice has remained intact.
He tried for a long time to gain weight.
I'm glad he's gotten his illnesses under control and is healthy.
You mean he’s 21 years older ?

Nice work sir. (It's clearly underappreciated)

Amazing ❤ Excited. This song never failed it 😉

Ahhh Matt good in his prime. Brings back memories. Love this
yes!

What a find! Thanks for posting this.
his first three albums -Last of the Ghetto Asronauts, Underdogs, and especially Beauty Midnight are ++
Loser Anthems
Suburbia (11pm)👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️
Native Son, Fearless, Shes got a new Disguise. Ghetto rulez
The Audio of Being was an amazing album too. Underappreciated it seems. Some of his best work is on there.
Iam Sancho my favourite
I love this show! My Out of Style is Coming Back is my favourite song of his! Thanks for sharing. I would pay money for a clearer version of this show, though.
Dude, dude, thank you for uploading. I only have like three minutes of this on VHS.
Despite the quality, this live version of Apparitions is one of my favourite anything’s ever!! I remember watching this live in ‘99, I was 17. I adored his voice then & still do now
Samesies! I was also 17 when this aired!
This takes me back, good times and good fucking music!
Thank you for uploading! 🤘🏼
I can feel the atmosphere. Going to see him twice during this tour. It will bring me up to 7 total shows. Best artist ever, IMO.
Turns out I went to another show. Brings my total to 8. I am so happy this performance was uploaded!
Shocking they are playing so well in that cold. Fingers don't like to work in the cold and instruments don't want to stay in tune.
wayne magyar they are prob so pumped to play at this show they didnt feel anything
Tell me about it. I remember after a high school PE lesson in the middle of winter here in the UK my hands were so cold I couldn't do up my zipper.
Thank you very man, Matt or the labels should be doing this, thanks for keeping it alive
matt looks like he's been up for 3 days, and it's so rare to actually see a live version of Automatic where he actually sings the chorus.
He was young. Being up for days and doing it like it's your last night alive is easy in your 20's.
Didn't know "Last Of The Ghetto Astronauts" or "Raygun" even existed until I watched this performance...bought them both the next day (was getting hungry for new MGB, little did I know that somewhere "down in a roller rink...")
He hasn't put out a bad album yet. Every song is overtly 'listenable'!
Good show. It is too bad Matt Good won't put out a series of downloads like Pearl Jam and Fugazi did of all the recorded shows they had available.
I'm shocked. They sound so close to the record. Unfortunately the guitar was a little bit too distorted.. but they sound on point. Great upload to one of the most unappreciated rock bands ever.
Amazing.
I agree.
What an insane! soundboard...
what's he talking about at the start? were there some american bands that bailed because of the weather?
I love Mathew
I've got this on VHS somewhere. So good...
Hey Taylor, if you still have the VHS somewhere do you know if it has the the 3 songs missing from this video? I've been dying to see the full version for years
his sound is amazing but think its somewhat distorted and hard to hear here especially round the 18:00 mark...a rare older MGB vid. ...great
Matt's hair though. 😅
I agree, it looks like the tip of a penis.
Looks fairly greasy. Must have combed his hair with a pork chop.
When did the guitar player from Radiohead go solo?
jk
Matthew good band rocks!
Strangest One of All = Underrated MGB track
Shame they took his true soundboard away from him not too long after this....
The voice is FLAW-LESS :o
1999, but no beautiful midnight songs?
I don't think it had been released yet, possibly a few months later
Would of loved to hear Giant, Suburbia or Running for Home
This was recorded in winter 1999, February or March if I remember correctly, I thought it coincided with post secondary reading weeks. Beautiful Midnight came out in September. But in the original airing of this they said that the band was taking a break from the studio to play this show
AC Brown i see. So we were still in the Underdogs era?
@@johnmynn1207 thats right, this concert is about 8 months before the release of beautiful midnight
Ted Mosby on lead guitar
That Matthew’s hair reminds me Justin Bieber.
Where do you think Bieber got the idea?
