Just discovered her through the Roujin Z OST. I really like that jazzy/experimental angle new-wave stuff like YMO, but different and with female vocals instead. This type sound is what I think of when I think 80's Japan.
@@zeeqwan6477 Yes, but Bun Itakura deserves tons of credit, not only for discovering her, but for being a life-long songwriter for her. Everyone talks about Hosono, but Itakura is a true genius. In fact, after working a bit with Bun on Satekoso, Hosono became inspired by him. At least 1 of Hosono's songs he wrote for Jun Togawa was directly inspired by the Chakra song "Free."
@@m.omoirokingyo Hi. I should have written "SEEMS to be inspired by..." because I don't know for sure of course. If you listen to the chorus of 夢見る約束 戸川純 it is the intro guitar part of "Free."
Is there a kind soul out there that has a higher quality download of this album? I have only found a very low quality one from some blog many moons ago. This masterpiece deserves another reissue! ~bless
I'm seeing her live in Kobe later this month! I'm so excited!
Did you get to meet her?
How was it?
I love this album so much.
this music never gets old

Hosono from YMO help produced Chakra’s second album “Satekoso”. Hosono and Ogawa also formed a band called “Love, Peace & Trance”
@@zeeqwan6477 cool I'll look those up, thanks!

According to Ogawa's fans, "Hana no Kodomo", the last track in the album, is considered one of her most important, most personal songs.
How do you know this?
@@zeeqwan6477 Ogawa's fans.
