thank you. it seems like something you ought to have heard a million times before but I can't actually name anyone else that sounds like that. and she controls it really well.
ludwig amadeus is it actually bad vocal technique, though? She isn’t putting any unhealthy physical strain on her chords. She clearly isn’t utilising vibrato for the sake of opera; it’s used quite sparsely as a timbre change at most. She hardly belts a few dbs above her natural falsetto levels so even when she’s hitting the high notes from chest rather than head, most of the volume is coming from good projection and shaping rather than actually blowing up her voice. Her vibrato definitely has an unconventional tonal quality to it but I couldn’t honestly see why her technique is at all “bad” unless the only barometer for one’s usage of the technique is how they compare to opera, at which point I’d have no clue why you’d be leaving such a comment here. It works well for the music and she isn’t lacking dynamic control.
Don't know what is going on down under but Stella continues a lineage of truly outstanding female singer/songwriters of Aussie and/or NZ background. Just sublime.
perfect take away show! love how the editing style suits Stella's film aesthetics .. as if the session would be a part of an upcoming "Beware Of The Dogs" movie .. so timeless indeed, would become a classic
Everything is so beautiful about this song. The music, the lyrics, the salon and ofcourse Stella and her guitar. And the way she smiles? ✈️ And woman with curls? She's like my best friend, always by my side with her perfectly tuned smile. 🍒
Stella Donnelly:
-is adorable
-talented
-gives off aesthetically pleasing vibes
-wishes she had a barbershop like this in her house
That chorus for Old Man is so strong. La Blogotheque refuses to disappoint.
Are you sure you're not referring to Lunch ?

Little bit Billy Holiday and a little bit Smokey Robinson.
ludwig amadeus who hurt you
ludwig amadeus was simply poking fun at what seems to be a needlessly negative comment.

So lovely.
Was kind of scared that the live band wouldn't be up to scratch, but these two work really well together.
They both used to play guitar in a band called Boat Show.
Very nice harmonies.
Your bandmate's are very good! (all of them)
Ai que linda!
