    That's a helpful tip I wasn't shown on my FLT training. I'm starting my first FLT job later today, unloading wagons. I'm nervous. Ha

    I just retired from being a deliver driver. This is the easiest way to unload a truck.

    I know the comments here love you for some reason but anybody who drives an FLT knows you won't pass a test driving like that.

    1. Do not look at the camera while operating a forklift.
    2. You let trainees unload trucks? That is fucking madness.

    Are you supposed to tilt the load back before lowering it? I thought with the mast raised it would make the forklift unbalanced?

    • @coachmilt9987
      @coachmilt9987 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nope, it actually makes it more balanced. Jamie's procedure here was actually right on...usually he's not that perfect...LOL

      basic physics would tell you that tilting the load back while the mast is raised like that, brings the center of gravity back closer to the truck, thus making the truck more balanced.

    To laugh at an explanation

    So apart from not looking in the direction of travel after fully inserting the forks, you also never engaged the hand brake at any point. Furthermore you used the hydraulics when in motion.
    And someone said this is a good example....please😂

      Who really has time to perform all of those steps for picking up a pallet or crate? An efficient operator need not to do any of those things. Remember, in warehouse distribution it's all about production, not about going by the book.

    why not use as hand breakes before tuch as hidraulic controls. ( wery bad exsemple )...

    • @Fivestarforklifttraining
      @Fivestarforklifttraining  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No need to use the hand brake in this situation.

    • @vlladellu
      @vlladellu 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      not a bad example. Seasoned operators never used the handbrake for every pallet loaded/unloaded from the truck. I'll give an example. While you load/unload 5 pallets, I already load/unload 20. Its all about productivity and knowing your surroundings, and everything will be fine.

    It’s good tip I guess. But I feel like if someone needs to explain this to you: then you probably don’t have the critical thinking to be a operating a forklift. That’s just my opinion on things.
