I was misdiagnosed after the laziest CAT scan read done at University Hospital, San Antonio with IBS
4 days later im back in the ER and being rushed into emergency abdominal surgery for two feet of ischemic small intestine.
One month later and in extreme pain with the JP drain which stopped outputting a week ago and I am miserable.
I am literally no better than I was before the surgery.
I need better doctors.

Thank you great video! Question--the air that gets into the portal venous system, what ends up happening to it? Does it get resorbed somehow into fluid/tissue? Does it impede blood flow and lead to infarction somewhere distal?

Sorry for the delay.
Very good questions. Air in the blood vessels does get resorbed into the bloodstream and nearby tissues. It generally does not impede blow flow, unless there is a lot of intravascular air.

May I ask, what is the artefact, anterior and to the left of the aorta as you're entering the abdomen from above? Is it a cardiac valve?
