  • G'day thanks for stopping by. Come and join us as we continue our journey towards Darwin through outback Queensland. We kick off this leg of the trip in Roma and end up being delayed for an extra week! Then back on the road we hit the towns of Mitchell, Augathella, Tambo and end up in Barcaldine. We found that each one of these towns had something unique to offer and learnt that you never underestimate these tiny towns!

Another great video, really enjoying watching your series. For the record, when i lived there it was definately Bar - call - din, or more simply Barcy

You scored a great trip to the baths in Mitchell. It was overloaded with people when we were there.

Yes we were fortunate as we had the whole pool to ourselves. Must be the quiet time of year?

Thanks David, we think it may be the time of year. So many attractions and services don’t start until mid April - May, for the tourist season out here. Cheers Paul and Wenda

The town is pronounced Bar - call - den. or Barky as the locals call it.

While I enjoy your videos immensely, it is a bit of a pity when you complain about the costs of staying at vans parks who desperately need your patronage to stay afloat and are probably only cutting even on their costs. Thanks again though for your efforts 👍

Hi Tony. We are glad to hear you are enjoying our videos and thank you for your feedback. We are immensely sorry to hear though that we have sent the message that we are complaining about costs. We certainly did not intend that. We are only to happy to pay the costs of staying in these places as we are well aware of their struggles. We thought we were merely comparing the costs across caravan parks. But you are right. We do need to be careful in how we express that.
      Cheers Paul and Wenda

@@beyondthegreyoz I didn't think you were complaining, just telling us the prices. I'm glad you're eating out in the towns too. My wife and I will do some trips (from Cairns) mid-year down to Longreach and out to Mt Surprise etc, maybe even up to the Cape again, and we plan to eat out as much as we can too. These towns need our tourist dollars.

@@bobr6555 that sounds great, we loved our trip to Mt Surprise, and the Cape (Still our favourite)! Yeah we try and support each of the towns we visit, buying groceries, eating out. They certainly do it tough in some of these places!
      Cheers
