a while ago I got an anne pro 2, tape modded, (with 5 layers 💀) considering installing oil kings and replacing the base stabs with the durock v2s or glorious goats (not going to bother lubing switches because I'll probably break my keyboard or give up midway through) and I have a desk mat any suggestions for mods or other switches? and possibly give your opinion on oil kings if you've tried them

Day 9: Review the Redragon k617 Fizz it's a 60% Hotswap keyboard it is just 36$ in my country it comes in white and grey, and white and pink it is a really good keyboard for its price.
The Q1 had a v2 that had it's own rubber bits built in for the force break mod and it still took getting a polycarb plate, poron plate foam from etsy (keyboard kustoms btw), a 3 layer tape mod, force break mod (again on top of the rubber bits in the top case), new case foam (from keyboard kustoms etsy shop again lol), and a layer of rolled out cotton balls to get it to sound THOCK. The only issue I had after that was the spring ping I had from the Boba U4T's, but after lubing using the gazzew method and switching the stems for drop halo clear stems, it's PERFECT. I hated that I had to put in this much effort to make it sound amazing, but considering what I would have paid for something that came like what I ended up with, I'm sure I would have spent even more. Overall, I spent about close to 260. I think I did good ;A;

My q1 is literally so tight that after replacing switches 3 times then a 4th after using the wine mod that I have decided I would rather buy a seperate q1 than alter my current one whatsoever. My buddy has one also which is nowhere near as tight as my one. Constantly exploding switches when pulling them out

No one really sells individual keycaps (except for artisan keycaps), you would unfortunately most likely have to buy a set. Have you tried reaching out to Keychron about it? Maybe they would be willing to send you a replacement cap.
Okay then, thought I would see some tips, but nope. Also, just saying, didn't like the final sound. In case someone is interested, here is what I did to my Keychron K2 v2, giving me deep thock and silent, no high pitches or rattles, been using for about 2 years. Have ordered today V1 Max as a replacement, and it's gonna go through most of the same stuff: Gateron G Pro 3 Yellow switches Tape mode (2 layers) Durock stabilisers with popular mods 4mm Practik Base for vibration/sound dampening (orange) 5mm STP Biplast sound insulator (black) EVA foam between plate and PCB Poron 0.5mm switch pads PBT XDA keycaps 1.5-1.6mm (cheap but good ones, not doubleshot) 1.5mm O-rings on XDA key-caps and between the plate and the case Quiet sure this beets even the current stock V1 Max and NyPhy Halo75 v2, when it comes to thockiness and silence, but want a new one.
I wonder if you would be able to install the sound dampening foam if you really smashed it down. When I modded my keyboard once, I thought that it could not take the foam I was putting in, but after using the keyboard for a bit, I decided to install it and let the screws pull the top plate back against the case, and crush the foam. The keyboard sounds very good to me since doing that. Foam will settle over time.
You’ll lose the flex if you go that thick with the bottom piece. Pro tip use tweezers with that ribbon cable. Phantom reds have a light spring did you end up increasing the spring?
strange, because my q1 thock. It doeasnt sound nothing like that from video. i also have v1 - in my case phantom brown. But in my keyboard i have to sheets of sponge.. :|

Why would you install that bottom cutout upsidedown? The sound absorbing part is the foam side, the paper side is the reflective part.
