- BoCox™ is a non-surgical treatment for ED that involves injecting Botox into the shaft of the penis to boost sexual performance. Botox can improve erections by relaxing the smooth muscles of the blood vessels in the penis, allowing them to stay open so that more blood can flow in. The increased blood flow results in bigger, harder and longer lasting erections. 50 units of Botox injected into the penis has been shown in research to increase the patient’s ability to obtain and maintain an erection during intimate situations for 3 months, while 100 units has been proven to offer the same results for 6 months. Another exciting result of the BoCox™ treatment is an increase in penis size.
what is the expected growth and duration of growth?
Hi. Is there a possibility of the botulinum going systemic after the intracavernosal injection?
is there discomfort to the patient? How does he stay still??
We use a very strong numbing cream and small diameter needles. Most patients only feel a slight pressure. Call my office to schedule an appointment at

Why are you mixing botox with calcium chloride instead of sodium chloride or was that a mistake in speech?
Calcium chloride is what activates the platelet “Cascade” resulting in endothelial release of stem cells. I mix it with the Botox so as not to activate the prp before I’m ready to inject. It does not inactivate the Botox. The Botox is already mixed in the standard method with saline (NaCl).
@@roberth.cohenmd8819 OK, thank you. So in theory in regard to ED....you could just use the botox alone? What is the benefit of the PRP in your opinion on regard to ED? Also do you find everyone needs 50 units (is that botox units or insulin units once botox is mixed) or do some need more or some need less?
@@ChelseaJadeC the benefit of using the prp is that this stimulates new blood vessel growth. Remember the botox will only dilate the blood vessels. This combination will last longer and provide the patient with new blood vessels in addition to dilated blood vessels. My patients report quite good satisfaction combining the two. There are two doses of Botox that I use. These are based on the 2021 paper. 50 units which will last 3 moths and 100 units will last 6 months. Some of my colleagues are using 150 units and achieving almost a year of effectiveness. I'm awaiting more definitive studies before increasing the dosage. All units are standard botox units. I hope this helps. Have a great day.
@@roberth.cohenmd8819 thank you so much for your in depth reply. I see you do one injection in the penis? Do you feel it would be more beneficial to do multiple injections?
I'm living in East Africa Tanzania how may I going to get that type of treatment
Go to the website priapusshot.com and you can find a list of doctors doing the procedure closer to your location. Good luck and have a great day.
Dr. Cohen, is there a reason why you draw the blood first in a syringe instead of directly into the tube? Does that change the platelet activation?
As I need a minimum of forty cc's, there is no tube of which I know, that can handle 40+ cc's. The suction in the tube just isn't strong enough for all the blood I need. Thank you and have a great day.
As far as the platelet activation occurring with the syringe draw; I'm careful to be careful when drawing and transferring the blood. You can get some activation with trauma but if you're careful, you should be fine. Thank You
Hello dr how much you added calcium chloride? Did you mixed it with the prp or the botox or all together. Many thanks
The calcium chloride is only added right before I inject because it quickly activates the cascade system in the prp and causes the prp to gel. I mix the cacl with the botox before injecting.
Thank you so much 😊
Dr cohen when i had this done i could see blood coming into the syringe is it normal?
Thank you for your question.
This depends on the specific fda approved centrifuge your injector uses. Some machines will allow a small amount of red blood cells to be mixed with the prp. This should not affect the results. I hope this helps. If you want to schedule a consult, call my manager, Gayl, at (424) 332-7074. Have a great day
