I just finished making this cape using Mandala yarn with this tutorial but I managed to increase to fit a women & it turned out perfect. I loved the pattern so much I had to figure it out. I frogged many times to get the correct fit. I've only been crocheting just over 3 yrs & use tutorials all the time as I haven't mastered reading patterns yet. It's all a learning game. Now to make another one.
Oh my goodness! This looks so darling! Crystal! You soooo rock - you make it so easy for us the make such beautiful things! Thank you for such great, low-key instructions and beautiful patterns!
I have passed this so many times and finally today I said watch this completely!!! I am amazed at how easy it is but I first, for some reason I didn’t think I could and now I’m half finished. It looks so detailed all done and beautiful. But it’s only V-stitches!!!! You are so awesome and great teacher. Thank you
This is perfect. I needed a cape for a baptism dress I crochet for my granddaughter who is 18 mos. Directions were clear, and I like the printed instructions at the bottom of the screen. It made it easier. I finished this project in a few hours and it will make her dress extra pretty.
Thank you, Crystal. I just finished making this beautiful baby shawl for my great niece. This was the very first shawl I've ever made. Your instructions were clear and detailed. I greatly appreciate you sharing your talents with us. Keep up the great work!
I was looking for a cape/tied shawl as last minute Christmas gift to go along with a crochet tiara for a little girl. This is perfect, simple, fast yet elegant pattern. Thank you!!!!
I have to say, it looks difficult but you sure know how to give step by step instructions. You did an amazing job. I'm making one for my niece and myself. LOVE IT!!!
I made this the other day. This was my first project other than scarfs and it was ALOT easier than I thought...and I LOVED how it turned out..I made it for a three year old and chained 61..it looks like she will be able to fit it ok...your tutorial was very detailed...even a beginner like myself could follow it..I am excited about learning more..thank you..
Hi Denise: How did you decide how many chains to make? I know its even number plus 5 to start. Did you make the chains and then just put the chain around the girls shoulders? Also, when you got to the final rows, did you just keep repeating them until it was long enough? I have a 5-year old and would love to make this for her. So far I've made only blankets and water bottle holders
When I say I'm a beginner I am a beginner I figured if she chained 51 for up to 2yrs I guessed and that is not the correct way probably...the shawl at 61 was for slightly bigger 3yr old and it had some overlap which her dad liked so she can grow into it...oh and yes once I started with the six double Vs I just went down to the appropriate length for the child...I made another one with the same chain length and it fit a girl who wears a 4t to 5t...not as much over lap...I hope this helps but people are falling in love with this shawl...
I made this yesterday because I needed a birthday present for a child. I used yarn that I already had, so I made it white with cranberry trim. Video was perfect I didnt have to rip it apart and redo.and this was my garment besides hats and scarves. thank you.
I just watched your video on the little purple cape/poncho and all I can say is, "You never let me down!" If I can't find a pattern, I go to you on YT. There I find you and what I'm looking for. Thank you for teaching in simple language and terms any novice can understand. You are so talented. Thank you.
This shawl is so beautiful, I would like one for myself. Your video is great, it makes it easier for me to understand the V stitch. Thank you so much for taking the time to make videos to teach us how to make beauties like this.
HI, i think you are very good you are so easy to follow and listen to you it helps when you talk it through , i made the purple shawl and im delighted with it , thank you x
Thank you so much for this video! I used the unforgettable in stained glass. I shared your link on a Facebook group because it was getting so many compliments.
thank u so much :) I said to hubby was goin to bed at 11pm then started watching this, it's now 1:50am I've got 2 more rows to go I dont want to put it down hah
Easy breezy! I enjoyed making this today. Thanks! I'm not trying to flatter you, but your tutorials are awesome. It's one thing to be an excellent crocheter, but teaching is a whole different ballgame and there aren't many people who can do both.
I just finished making this I wish I had away to take a picture and share with you I can't at this time I have been making different items from your videos thank you so much for all your videos...I used the sweet roll yarn very soft yarn
I love your tutorials!!!! You give very easy to follow instruction. I feel if you show me how to do it I can do it. But I do have a small request. Can you do a tutorial for a baby boy square poncho? I'm always making my nieces ponchos & shawls and my nephews are getting jealous.
Such a beautiful cape; I am going to make 2,1 for my great-niece, & 1 for my best friend's granddaughter! I don't know what took me so long to find this video! 😂 Thanks for showing me this! Till next time. 💚
So beautiful! I am knitting for my granddaughter , on half way now. Very easy to follow your teaching. Could you please make a video kind of similar or easy to follow a little different pattern for adult size, if possible, circular ....means knitting continuously for right side? Thanks.
very nice pattern and tutorial. I did wish I could reach through the screen and untangle your yarn for you, lol. BTW, that "pointy stitch" on your edge, that's called a picot. Again ,nice pattern...thanks for sharing.

So pretty! I love the color. I want one for me! LoL I would wear it, but probably in fall colors. Thanks Crystal. Oh my gosh Crystal I had no idea this was from 2014!!! I’m laughing so hard right now! LoL I still had a great time watching. I’d like to make 2 but for a 6 and 7 year old. How many chains should I start with? Thanks a bunch.
Crystal, I love the color and the crochet design. I have a friend who's an adult but very short. If I were to make this for her, do I need to start with a larger chain?
Beautiful! One suggestion your written details block to see your hands to understand. Please find out how to make it visible to people to understand. Thanks.
Absolutely beautiful and you make it look so easy !!! Can you tell me how many chains I would start off with if I wanted to make this for a 6 month old? Thank you for the wonderful tut =)
