    2 Samuel 24:24
    King James Version
24 And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.
Verses 6 and 7 of God's interaction with Cain, first calling Cain to check his feelings and attitudes to see if they are right or Godly, then God says if you do well will you not be accepted? If you do well will you not be accepted? God is primarily conserned with correcting our thoughts and behavior. As Jesus stated: Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Or as Paul said: Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God. Well done.
