- Julia Garner has quickly established herself as one of the industry's most exciting and versatile young actresses. You can see her as Ruth Langmore in Netflix's new series, "Ozark." The series follows a Chicago financial advisor, who has been quietly laundering money for a drug kingpin, when he must quickly uproot his family and move the operation to The Ozarks. There, he bumps heads with both a local drug dealer whose business he inadvertently interrupts, and a clan of ruffians, led by their 19-year-old niece, who want his money, all the while avoiding the eye of a tenacious FBI agent. He must complete his laundering, to save the life of his family, as they struggle to find their own path in this seemingly foreign way of life.

I’m from the Ozark(s) and Julie Garner nails her character in this series! Great cast & crew! Looking forward to seeing and supporting Julia and this whole show! ... Although, I do have some stories even this show wouldn’t believe!!! I was born in the real “Ozarks” (which, by the way is correctly titled) and it appears as they are in The Lake of the Ozarks which is just the beginning mountain range (incredible) that begins to show majestic features near Branson, Missouri. They then begin melt right into Arkansas lush cliffs! The lakes down here are warm and I enjoyed all water sports as a child because of the comfortable environment. Great place to vacation if you’ve never been and look me up if you need any suggestions!!! Silver Dollar City is absolutely a place enjoy!!! Fun growing up in the Ozarks and if I was ever on the show survivor, YOU WOULD DEFINITELY WANT TO BE ON MY TEAM!!! LOL Great show, terrific interview!!! Xo
She is a fascinating character!! She is so dangerous and so compelling and something endearing about her character. She plays a resolute killer and yet I want her to wake up and make her realize she is salvageable. Really good southern accent.

When Marty won’t hear her out on her ideas I just want to smack him! She’s definitely his Chief Lieutenant and he’d be screwed without her! She’s my favorite character.
I am a southerner and very critical of most people trying to imitate a southern accent. Not here, she owns it as Ruth and is totally believable. Julia Garner is a force to be reckoned with!

I liked her acting in the show because you feel like just chocking her to death in the first ep, by the last episode, i couldn't believe how much I grew fond of her character. What is even crazier for me is that her character really doesn't change much through out the show, to the end of the last episode, her character Ruth still commits treacherous acts and more, somehow, you see just enough of her vulnerable side to pity her a bit, still crazy character who will slit your throat while you re sleeping

The minute she appears Julia’s character stands out amounts a truly strong cast.
This girl is destined for a great future.
She has a humble way. Not that "Hey I am good looking, good playing and just cool" way. She also lets her heart speak and thinks before she says something and does it in a genuine and simple honest way without too much tam tam. THAT is a strength only very few have. What a great intelligent young woman and actress! She is exquisite.

It's kinda cool seeing an interview with part of the cast. All of you guys rock, I've been addicted since season 1. I think it's funny that two Manhattanites (Linney & Garner) are playing those roles. I've been watching Laura Linney since I was a teenager, and this role, wow.
Ozark put me in an "evil bitch" mode for shows, "House of Cards (Robin Wright), Ozark has both Wendy and Helen, and as "evil bitches" go, McTeer and Linney totally rock. McTeer has an advantage, she's a strong 6'1", and she can really act. Laura Linney, again, she's always rocked her roll. Thanks, guys I really appreciate your efforts during this quarantine.
I know, I failed to mention Jason Bateman, but really, need I, he evolved into this role, again, I've been watching both Linney and Bateman for a long time (no age slam guys, just saying). I also failed to mention the rest of the cast, which is amazing.
I feel for Jonah, he keeps losing his best friends. Sofia Hubitz's character, Charlotte, has evolved really well.
Brent Spiner, in a discussion once said, "if it ain't on the page, it ain't on the stage", Spiner was quoting someone else, but I keep thinking of how true that is, the storyline is great, please, a 4th season soon?

Trayvon Martin Aw I thought he was good. It seemed to flow really well! Maybe she was just really good at the interview. But he did a good job keeping it engaging. Almost seemed like he knew a lot of these answers before already like it was halfway scripted that’s how good I thought it was. It’s hard to land questions that they actually have entertaining answers for. But yeah a little amateur. She hasn’t seen the show and he was asking her to explain a scene without any spoilers ha ha. That was a tough question. And he did keep saying “I meann”.

Julia is definitely a great actress. She carried this interview, too. Video quality and interviewer were definitely not top notch. I was a big fan of her in the Americans, so I knew it was not her real accent. Started out wanting to punch her but quickly grew fond of her character in Ozark.
