She becomes whatever character she is playing so well. The voice, mannerisms, expressions and the whole bit. A lot of actors seem to always keep a bit of themselves in a performance so they never really fully become that character.
She does such an amazing job at drawing you into the story. The writers might actually "create" the character, but Julia really brings Ruth to life. Honestly, she's the character in the series that I care about the most. I just want Ruth to win.

I was not sure at first but Ozark is quickly turning into my favorite show. This young lady is a force of nature on the show and the two veterans Laura Linney and Jason Bateman are super intense and anxiety provoking due to their recklessness. I highly recommend the show.
