to add about the 8th circle, when Archaon was angry he let it slip that he was actively trying to kill all the chaos gods as well, seemingly leaving them starved after he kills all realms anywhere.
I imagine some Varanguard would keep following Archaeon even after that, either because they agree with his goals or are just that loyal to him. But yeah, others (the 8th Circle, apparently) decided that they were loyal to Chaos and the Dark Gods, and took exception to the Everchosen's plan. Hence, the schism.
TH-cam asked me what I would rate this video. I gave it 5 stars. It asked why and gave me the following options "Heartwarming. Relaxing. Calming.". I went with heartwarming. Archaon is just a guy out there chasing his dreams. Sometimes it's like the world is against him and his mentors don't got his back, but he just keeps on keeping on. If I had an Archaon model I would put him at the top of my tree this year to remind me to keep the festive spirit.
I found myself describing Archaon as Toxic Polyamory. He's that guy who's stringing along 4 partners, and has them all convinced that he's close to going exclusive with them, but could also dump them and become exclusive with another at any minute if they don't cook his dinner like, now.
Can you do a video about the next Animosity campaign? The Prime Dominion ones were awesome! This would certainly get people more involved in narrative play. Also awesome project with those children! Looking forward to the video
You are very inspiring. Been following your videos for a while now. It has sparked an interest in my own channel. Specifically for Bonereapers and their lore and tactics throughout AoS thus far. Project of passion.
@2Tough thank you! I have an introduction script started, it's been an idea I have been toying with for a while. All my gaming buddies said there was no OBR specific person yet. So I should take up the mantel.
Wait, Slannesh was tied up....by choice, chance, or was something going on? Because we all know that She Who Thirsts probably would have tied himself to some torture implement for kicks.
This might just be me… but Archaon is the whole reason I’m into Warhammer at all. I am an aspiring fantasy author, and I sometimes listen to lore videos for different famous settings for ideas (Conan, LoTR, D&D, etc.) but I stumbled on an old lore video of Archaon from the old world and was captivated. Other thing about me: I deprogrammed from being a fundi in the Midwest. Not proud of the direction I was heading in for a while. But suffice to say that a character whose whole thing is wanting to remove gods from the equation resonated with me a bit. I play the game occasionally, but I kinda just like kit bashing and setting up dharmas with the minis I have, and it’s good writing fuel. I don’t get to talk about this stuff much… but yeah. He’s an unequally interesting concept and character in fiction to me.
#ArchaonDidNothingWrong I love him so much, his influence on the setting, his charisma as BBEG and his long and deep backstory are spectacular. He has struggled for centuries, what we see is a man who has overcome worlds, I find that interesting in a way. Also novels to Recomend if anyone interested on the topic: -Warcry Catacombs: Blood of the Everchosen(what small cults look like under his boot and seeking to appease him/join his legions) -Scourge of Fate(warlord seeking to join the Varanguard and his Dark Quest to do so) -Archaon Duology(Everchosen and Lord of Chaos to see his backstory and why he hates sigmar and gods so much) Edit: Can't wait for a Darkoath/Be'lakor video 👀
Now i really wanna know about hysh and ulgus realm gates to the allpoints. I wanna hear that death stays supreme being the only ones who have a point in the allpoints.
I don t know if you should make pacts with the Great Horned Rat. Archeon is smart, but now you have another power player that can backstap you. As the Skaven are not the most reliable race 😅
Nobody knows what happened to the light and dark realmgates. No one who enters the Ulgu one from the Eightpoints side apparently ever returns alive and the so called Arcway to Hysh has no lore besides a name. Also one correction, before their imprisonment Slaanesh did apparently primarily target the Hyshian realm of light as evident by the Spirefall incident that initially brought Chaos to the mortal realms by drawing their attention.
Aren't the rounds like seven times bigger than our world of eight points is about the size of Earth. Then it's been awhile since I've dived back into age of sigmar.

i was gonna say that. like thats the reason eternus and the 8th circle went rogue

@Bluecho4 yep. I am pretty sure that eternus is the only one who heard archaon ranting about killing the Chaos gods.

Ya know, I never thought of this in that way, but with that perspective, it is heartwarming! Life gave him lemons and he’s making lemonade!

Damn, with that PoV it makes Archaon seem even more based than he already is fr
It would almost be tragic, if the four (now five) he's stringing along weren't ALSO horrible and toxic and deserving of Archaeon's treatment.
Scourge of Fate is a great Book about the mighty Varanguard
amazing video! tomorrow i can finally delve into the battletome myself

Yes I always wanted to do one but scarred to leap and do it

That's great to hear! I'm excited to see you dive into the Bonereapers. They're so cool.😎

Tzeentchian plot and Teclis did it.
Slaanesh was captured by the Elven gods in AoS
Its one of the core parts of their lore in terms of history
@alextruecustodian nailed it, but I like the moxie of your idea. I feel like it was definitely on the chalkboard at GW
Please we need a DarkOath video I’m begging you!

Ghurs gate is actually chained by Gordrakk and he and his destruction forces invade the Eightpoints too
Love your content man!
I appreciate that!

S2D FTW
Great vid. Love the bane impression. I was born of the cannibalism
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It just got stuck in my head all week
@2Tough Fec is my favorite. Felt like you wrote the joke for me 🤣

Do you think the Corvus Canal's belief will ever bring the Great Gatherer into existence?
I think that’s a bigger discussion about how chaos god characters are made. Which sadly we don’t have a lot of info on
