    This video is excellent! I made my own succulent bridal bouquet with help from this video and everyone was blown away! The florist wanted $500, and I made it for under $50 (because I was lucky enough to know people with FREE succulents in their garden), but could easily be made for under $100.

      I can assure you that majority of her $500 price was mostly for labour and the fact that full larger heads are used. Happy for you that you got what you wanted but I am sure if you were to make one for sale $100 would not be the price you would be offering it for.

    The hair clip is by Laura Eubanks. Thanks for the suggestion, I'd love to do a video on how it's done. Stay tuned!

    Hope I am not late to reply :/
    Congratulations for your wedding!
    You may create the 10%0 succulent up to one week in advance, no water required to keep it fresh -just keep it indoors in a cool place; if you add fresh flowers I would recommend only a couple of days ahead and place it in a vase with water.

    Hi this is an awesome tutorial. I am planning to have this kind of bouquet on my wedding, and just wondering if you can advise me on how far ahead i should be making this. i dont know anything much about flowers much more succulents. I dont want to make it too far ahead as I want the flowers and succulents to look as fresh as possible.
    thanks in advance

    Hi Debra and Marialuisa, thank you for the wonderful video! In your experience, what's the max amount of time ahead of the event that one could create the bouquets and still have them looking fresh at the wedding? Thanks!

      Hi Moriah - It depends on the succulents, but keep in mind those shaped like roses and daisies will need sunlight (bright shade, not direct) to keep their symmetrical forms and bright colors. The longer they’re in the shade-which is important to keep them from sunburning-the quicker they’ll lose their color and stretch. You probably want me to say a week or two, but really for best results, no more than two or three days.

    Hi there, great video! I wondered, can the succulents be re-planted after the wedding? With their stems cut so short, I wondered if this is a possibility. Thanks in advance for your help!

      Yes, but you might have to pluck a few leaves off the bottom so it has enough space to grow new roots. You can lay the extra leaves in dirt, and new succulents will sprout.

    can i use this same method with fake succulents?

    • @QueenofSucculents
      @QueenofSucculents  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't see why not. The fakes may even come with plastic-coated wire stems!

      How can the succs grow when they are cut so short and no roots left? Also, what are those colored flowers?

    • @QueenofSucculents
      @QueenofSucculents  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The plants live off moisture in their stems and leaves. The dried flowers are straw flowers and everlastings.
