Another great production. Emotions stirred looking at the Fox Engineering mini. Brings back memories of my great friend Tony Keane who represented them for years. Genuine, technical, professional and a pleasure to know and deal with. Sadly missed. The vacuum pump is a definite runner and as you said, not without complications, but that’s what I love about the channel, wondering what you’re going to think of next. I guess it’s back to the future. Going to guess Austin Healy for the carbs, but I seem to remember them being triple rather than twin. Great show.
Greetings from Canada GREAT episode, this last one... you dropping little nuggets.. for the near future. Re-watched gear shift lever custom kit of yours.. Favorite. Merchandise coming.. can’t wait!!! ANYTHING in the machine shop would be Awesome!!! Keep up the amazing content!
Savage work lads great to get an update on the ongoing projects. Would like to see the engineering of the landrover - "Andy Mc Landy" custom vacuum pump. 👍
Paul pump feed from oil pressure switch with an adapter ,return in to rocker cover using braided hose what a pleasure to switch on and find another vid and catch up ,well back to dishwasher rebuild and dog walking 👍👨🏻🏭🇬🇧
I had a car that would start well and run for a while and then cut out and would not start until it had stood for a while. After a lot of messing around i found that it was the small condenser in the distributer that was old and faulty and would not work when it was hot.. You did say that the mini had an electronic so perhaps this does not apply but I am just getting my ten pence worth in. Great to see how all the projects are advancing.
another great video mate, glad my rad has arrived safe..,must admit i didnt look at the rad as it was supposed to shipped direct but as i mensioned before the fussy courier doesnt send now to ireland so i had to ship it myself and it was already packed.....look forward to getting it done . all the best mate..
Another great episode . One thing I have to say , according to your " Engine Shop Jobs " board , poor old Archie , Michael , Allan and Matt have been waiting for months now . (Or the board is never updated).
The 1 3/4carbs off a rover v8?, And why doesn't the rolling road man file the needles to what the engine wants?, as vizard states, the don't have to be round, just have to let fuel in 😎, keep up the great vids Paul, thank you, Anthony 👍
Be interested to see how you work the mechanical vacuum pump. Question for you .... what dia heater take off are you using on the race GT? Obviously you’re not running with a heater but I’m still exploring going down the modified rad route to help with cooling.
3.5 Rover V8 su's? Also, the electronic ignition, are they effected by heat, in Fiat the 123 and Pertronix ignitions can be a nightmare with heat, always carry points and condenser in the event of.....
That's about what I was thinking...or maybe Triumph Stag? I think it also had a couple of chunky SUs. Edit: cancel the Stag - I just remembered it came with Zenith units. Opinion shifting back to Rover 3500. :-P
Aussie, I could be wrong, my dad had Rover P4/5/6 as I was growing up, been a long time since I've seen a 3.5 but the moment I saw these the memories came flooding back. I only read recently that the famous Rover V8 that we all know was in fact a GM Buick developed engine that was then built under licence by BL and Rover. Open to correction of course!
@@gavinosullivan7904 Yep, Buick did the basic design, but they never did really get it working reliably, so they eventually sold all their tooling to BMC (I guess they figured the Brits wouldn't mind an engine that leaked oil and coolant - LOL) a year after they ceased their own production of the engine. I think that might qualify as a sale, rather than a lease/licence agreement. T'was a wonderful engine - when I was a kid, people used to swap out 4 cylinder engines for the V8 and find that the Rover engine was actually lighter than the 4-pot. :-)
2:12 coil or condenser? oh electronic ignition module lol. Lots for you to be getting on with then Paul. How did then guy with the cracked block take it?
Apologies for the crazy amount of Ad's for anyone who got here early. TH-cam autoplaced 5 ad's in a 20 minute video! shoulld be fixed now.
Never saw one ad due to having Adblock installed. I was getting so many ads on TH-cam it was literally becoming unwatchable. Adblock worked wonders!

Thanks Thomas your very kind. Ya the 3000 had 3 SU's but nice guess I am a huge fan of the Healy 3000's

Its one I made my self Ian, basically a plate with the 3 holes in it and two pieces of CDS pipe welded together at 45 deg and then welded to the plate
@@HREIRL ok cool. Would be interested to see more info about how you did it.

close lads not a P or a Stag but you are on the right lines. Yes the pertronix did give trouble, we had a tipo with it and went back to points
@@HREIRL Vitesse?

Hi Paul, he was disappointed but luckily he has a spare S motor that we can use as a donor so project back on track :)
@@HREIRL bet he was brassed off to say the least. Well we all have a spare Cooper S engine don't we lol. Build is back on then?
Look like P6 Rover 3500 carbs
Close :)
I'd really like to see
The carb rebuild
