Enjoy the second part of documentary. It took me 2 days to get it done. Please share both parts of documentary with your friends and wherever you see fit. i'd appreciate it very much. Thanks.
i love these type of videos where you can actually see the work behind the brand and what it takes to be one of the best. Also the footage of the spoon 4 pot calipers and suspension testing/development is pretty awesome.
What they don't tell you about Trail braking which I believe it's important to mention is that you need to do all your heavy braking while the wheels are straight. Because although you want to use braking to shift weight off the rear and onto the front to get the car to rotate; you also don't want your front tires being overworked with braking and turning at the same time. Trail braking is tough to master.
Jujutsuheiho yeah. If you do heavy braking while turning you'll lock the brakes and run wide. So you do the heavy braking with the wheels straight and then ease off the brake pedal as you turn in.
and this rigorous testing is why Spoon products are so expensive. when you buy knockoff parts "because they do almost the same thing" you are taking money away from companies like Spoon and J's Racing who did all the R&D and testing. fake parts suck.
Eric Williamson Spoon parts are actually reasonable prices when you bought them in Japan. They make it so expensive here in the states because of middleman prices who are marking up whether it’s because of shipping fees and because it’s Import from Japan
Paolo Inigo Even in Japan its expensive not very resonable A b16b 1.8L stroked engine is around 10k dollars with out tax n all And you think thats resonable you might be rich then.
Is there any in depth engine build or engineering talk about the B or K series engines with subs? I found one that was only a few minutes at the end of the video. The spoon engine build I saw on the channel didn't have eng cc. Awesome to see what Spoon does for R&d.
I prefer this over the five lap K20 battle and I'm sure many others do as well. It's a more in depth look at the behind the scenes of what really goes on with professional race teams. So much detail that goes into setup up a car for one specific race"track". I can't get enough, fantastic work.
+needraintodrift I actually like the documentaries James did solo, the giant airfix spitfire, the Meccano motorbike, and that never ending scalelectric race! I recon if he did a spoon doc I'd be loving it, at the end of the day he explains stuff pretty well and you'd have to be an oalf like Jezza not to appreciate it.
Curi0u50ne Yes he naturally explains things so well, but on the other hand so does Jezza when he is being serious. Check out Jeremy Clarkson's War stories and you will be suprised. I will also check out those documentaries that you mentioned ,thanks for that! :)
+zpe1200 Big tuning companies participating in serious racing have that level of tunning(example Brembo). but you have many shit companies which sell products on the market without pro testing, many of them just paint product and say its performance part and in many case thet product is below performance of original part(example Skunk2)
+myE30 You've just seen why they have their prices. Not many tuners put that much effort (many test days with professional racing drivers, engineers and mechanics) into their product development. Do you think they do it for free??
still i have seen some of their stuff fail quicker than chinese copies. this is propaganda you cant look at this video and assume the other companies dont test their products too. spoon is over priced there is no doubt about that

Thank you and appreciated a lot Miroshi work absolutely phenomenal!
This is the video to show Honda/Spoon haters, quality over quantity and definitely goes to show how there IS a replacement for displacement

As a FF and Honda fan and owner, thank you Hattori,Best Motoring,Spoon and Miroshi for this video.

These are great Miroshi, could you upload more of these types of documentaries? Appreciate all your hard work!
pretty much what Hattori was saying is go deep in the turn using late braking till you hit about mid corner and gradually step on the gas from there.
Beautiful to see them mechanics work
With those blue overalls I'd say Spoon should sue DreamWorks for stealing the Minions from them lol
Thanks again for your time .
someday I want to buy me a spoon civic eg6 or ek9. I love them
It should be built not bought 🏁✌🏼️🇯🇵🔧
but spoon sports is life and i will let it build be them because they are pros

A bit too James May for my liking, please, can we see that 5 lap K20 battle?!

+Curi0u50ne I wish James May also does a documentary about spoon haha

That's the man on initial d when takumi raced the pro driver from the racing school
0:26 those types of spacers are dangerous....
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Do modern non-Japanese tuning companies do this level of tuning?
