Hot damn, the Elden Ring animations in Skyrim make this better. No attack spamming, no awkward hit boxes, no hit stun immunity, best of all its not being random with its attacks. I've also notice your follower/summoner is immune to your attacks, preventing you from drawing its agro. The only thing missing is give it a wider arena and make it more aware of its surroundings.

A wider arena and smarter enemy awareness would make battles even more engaging. But achieving that would require a mod with custom scripts to handle those changes. Who knows?
