G-Shock just announced the release of a new 35th Anniversary line up, the Glacier Gold collection. In store on the 14th of September. Man, its an amazing G-Shock year!
gshock highfashion I have seen pictures of the Glacier Gold collection, did not appeal to me :( I am still hoping there will be a release of a new "authenic" GW 9400 Rangeman, not the B1000. Haiz, maybe Casio has phased them out.
I think you should do like once a month video on the cheap casio non g shock watches. I have 6 g shock watches and 6 non g shock casio watches. I like to mix my watch wear every week. One week g shock, one week cheap watch. Lol. I also have a 1990 dbc databank watch I'm going to get a battery for. Had it since 1990. Time to bring it back to life.
Hi there, really a fun of your work. Very interesting and informative. I just have a question whether I can put the GW B5600 module in a DW 5035 body. Im a sucker for screw back and I wanna upgrade my DW 5035 Havong bluetooth function and all its perks. If you can give me some pointers much appreciated. Thanks
Is the metallic dotted screen in all of the dw5000s as well? It adds a nice touch of metal sheen to the screen not otherwise seen in the other dw5600 models
Yeah seems so, was hoping the normal 5000 has them because i want tough solar. I'll just stick with my gsteel s300 until the 40th anniversary square then!
The construction differs in the following ways:A hard resin internal shock absorbing structure was used to stop the module from slipping, internal components such as the crystal occilator and trimmer and the ic have resing buffering, and, the resin bezel is softer than that of the dw5600 all in order to still have a ten metre drop resistance.
Hi! I really love this video and I've watched it several times..I do own a DW 5035 and also a DW 5000 1JF with a slightly misaligned display...do you think I'd be able ti fix it?
Misaligned display is an easy fix. Just open the back and push to rotate it back in place or just use your finger. You basically rotate the entire movement actually.
gshock highfashion thats awesome because i want the positive lcd but i dont like gz colours. if i put tge postive lcd into the blue steel bezel will look cool. but probably way too expensive
I have a question for you. While you are taking the back the off, won't it mess up the water resistant and it will be water resistant?. Should you send it to Casio. I was told by them that it will mess it up. Please let me know. I really like your video's they are very helpful. If you ever sell your Frogman I will buy it.
I was told the same. Until I try and do it myself. None of those problems had ever occurred. It is locked with 4 screw on each corner, if I send it over to Casio, it will still be locked with 4 screws on each corner. I see no difference on the steps. Casio will do water pressure test, after they locked it with 4 screws on each corner same way I did. Its a 'Trial-and-Error' for them and same goes for me. Except I did do the test instead I just rely on experience. I did on literally hundreds of G-Shocks, none have water resistant issue afterwards. Take it however you like. As long as you do it right. You got nothing to worry about.
Consider watchmakers open regularly watches that cost thousands, and nothing happens. The one thing you can do to insure better water resistance is to lube the gasket with silicon grease (as watchmakers do). A local dealer even tested my Rolex for water resistance in front of me in a water tank made for that purpose. So no, you don't send a watch to the manufacturer to change the battery, especially not watches this inexpensive.
@@gshockhighfashion I'm sorry, I got confused... the question I wanted to ask you is this: In your opinion, is it possible to insert the 1545(DW5600) module into the DW 5000SL? they share the same module but the dw 5000sl has a steel case. thanks to the availability.
I follow your channel with interest, I'm an italian collector of Casio watches. Can I know the brand and where you bought your colored screwdrivers of this video?
I don’t think this watch have it. alpha gel was introduced into G-Shock starting 2013 if I’m not mistaken. This 5000 series is like a re-releases of the vintage 1983 model when there were still no alpha gel yet.
gshock highfashion but why g-steel doesn't have alpha gel? It's came from 2015. or does it have any cushions instead alpha gel inside the case?(like dw5600series)
Do you know if there will be any more 35th anniversary releases this year please? The latest jelly & gold versions don't do much for me. I'd like to see a true DW5000-C replica in 35th anniversary. Positive display, chrome or IP case and case back, chrome or IP keeper. I'm not a fan of gold or of negative displays.
Hello. I just got this Dw-5035d yesterday. It looks so dope but i am wondering how much would the resell value for this kind of relic? Anyway, nice video. Keep it up brother
Too much plastic in the inside of the module even in a Made in Japan dw 5000.They last and they are great but the older models used more metal in their module, however, their metal cases were not finishid at all compared to this one which looks like jewelry in comparison. The lume on this model and the dw 5735 is really impressive, super illuminator LED light is put to shame by these.
Shitty ass protection jjjajajaa bit from outside looks great Luke a Tank........disapointing even the gulfman has better protection Than this one AND this cost the double
Mad skills with the disassebly and assembly! Great video, thanks for sharing!
Wow! This is brilliant!!! Can't wait for the PGW to be disassembled 😀 Great video again!!!
Your comment already got me really nervous. I didn’t even bought the watch yet! 😅.
I think hard plastic was used to stop a common G Shock problem of display crookedness which could happen when the watch receives a hard blow.
these videos are great... would be good to see the new Frogman and the new full metal square being taken apart, would be so interesting.
I would like to do that as well. I’m willing to take the risk!

I’m a little sceptical but also curious as well. We’ll see how it goes for these models.
gshock highfashion I have seen pictures of the Glacier Gold collection, did not appeal to me :(

I think those white things are nylon bushings. They can take a lot of shocks. They are also used in hammers so obviously they are shock resistant.
The people at Casio won't be happy about this... love your vid, nice !
I hope I didn’t make them
mad or something.
The little golden spring that fell off from the lcd panel, how you attached it back to the panel?
Just slowly placed it in it's slot. All of them have their own dedicated slot.
Idk for sure...I'm no near expert but i just saw u removed the battery using the metal tweezers
liked the engine part mainly ...a quality craftsmanship
99% of the owners of this watch would never see the black plated case. Nice.
True.
Does it dlc coated in the metal case?
DLC coated case will comes only in black. This one is in gold thus Ion Plated.
3421 and 3229 same module but the 3421 is number for screwback models. I think they fit differently both 4 screws and screwback
Comparison video coming soon~
Hello)
thanks for your videos, this is a really good job!
guys, I have a small question.
I have a dw 5030c can I wear a dw5600
body on them?
Thanks!
The metal sheet is nice!
Totally!

That would be possible but the cost could get you a GMWB5000 resin band in brand new though.
Is the metallic dotted screen in all of the dw5000s as well? It adds a nice touch of metal sheen to the screen not otherwise seen in the other dw5600 models
I can’t be certain, but I’d seen a some 25th squares that came with the same feature
Yeah seems so, was hoping the normal 5000 has them because i want tough solar. I'll just stick with my gsteel s300 until the 40th anniversary square then!
Hi my friend, I have a g shock DW5600C, please I have a question about the gasket, the gasket is put in the case of watch or in the tape cover.
GMW B5000 brakedown?
I do believe the only difference between the 3229 and 3421 modules is the display.

@@gshockhighfashion thank you,I will!
I want to see whats inside dw 5735
Hi, does this mean we can take the positive lcd out of the gwb5600gz and put it in another gwb5600 like say the 5600-2 with the blue steal?
Yes. GWB5600 parts are interchangeable between other GWB5600 series. Just take the entire movement and swap them. No need to disassemble them.
gshock highfashion thats awesome because i want the positive lcd but i dont like gz colours. if i put tge postive lcd into the blue steel bezel will look cool. but probably way too expensive
I like you video on G-Shock. You are very professonal.
Is it safe to remove the mesh for better clarity?
Do you know if this has an STN display like the GMW-B5000?
Hi , the dimensions are the same as the DW5735D 1B , i want to change the case.
Yes, they're the same.
@@gshockhighfashion thanks !!!!

hi, do you know if the vintage steel cases(dw 5200)are compatible with the modern modules of the dw 5600e? Thank you
I don't have one to compare but, if it has the same diameter size, it is compatible. Simple as that.
@@gshockhighfashion I'm sorry, I got confused... the question I wanted to ask you is this: In your opinion, is it possible to insert the 1545(DW5600) module into the DW 5000SL? they share the same module but the dw 5000sl has a steel case. thanks to the availability.

I got from local hardware. Look for it on the smartphone repair tool section.

WOW WATCHING!
Nice....
👍
very disappointed about lack of cushioning inside the case
looks like there is no real g-shock among modern models

At least the casing is tougher to impact & longer lasting water resistant.
