Very inspiring channel! 💯 I started calisthenics in November last year after doing the 100 push-ups a day for 30 days challenge. I’ve been hooked ever since and it has changed my life and I can keep this going my whole life unlike heavy weight training. Highly recommend sticking at the basic movements and just do more reps. It’s also better for your joints too. Here’s my current workout plan that I’ve tried a few but I think this is my final. Well for now 😂 Upper Pull-ups Push-ups Dips Shoulder press Hanging leg raises Lower Squats Romanian deadlift Split squat or pistol squats Calves raises Hanging leg raises I do upper and lower body splits as full body was getting harder as my reps went up. I do this like 4 times a week along with running once or twice a week. But take longer rests if my body needs it. My reps go between 50, 100 or 200. Lower reps for pull-ups than push-ups. Higher reps for legs unless I decide to use heavier weights I do 50 reps. I usually do 5 reps x10 sets for pull-ups and 10 reps x10 or x20 sets for push-ups and shoulder press and legs. This is such a great way to build muscle and lose weight and feel super energetic. Definitely worth trying this for 1 or 2 months if you are looking to get in great shape with little equipment, you can do this at a park with a resistance band and a tree or at a gym with dumbbells and pull-up bar. 🔥
I know yall use the "oh but they are in a dangerous enviorement so they produce more testosterone" that might be true in the short term but chronic stress will do the opposite It has more to do with other factors than test
And they train to failure so push ups when finished the straight away push up on knees and after that push ups of the wall keep going until it burns so much.
As someone who has trained at a MMA gym for 7 years now, practicing throwing punches doesn't not got your shoulders big, it's more of a cardio workout for them
He’s not wrong. I’m a CO and we commonly have to take weights made out of various things from inmates during shakedowns. Personally, i prefer to let them keep things thar aren’t being used in a negative way. I’m all for inmates doing crafts and working out over worrying abt other races or gangs and getting up to trouble. It saves everyone in the prison a lot of trouble. However, yea they make weights and some of them are lowkey genius abt it. My favorite is when they take commissary bottles and fill them with water and take the string they make and wrap it to a handle of sorts so they have 4 bottles per side and it’s like a dumbbell. Really hurt me to have to toss such a masterpiece in the garbage.
Can verify. I would watch inmates create amazing items with whatever they could find. Most impressive thing I saw were using tied seltzer bottles filled with water and with a loop to create kettlebells.
Doesn’t matter if they don’t look big. Anyone who can master his own body and go from regular push-up to one arm to strong core muscles and calisthenics in general is far more impressive than a big dude who just looks “intimidating” My brother went to prison and came out jacked and you can absolutely build muscle off of body weight. He had nothing else better to do with what he had. He did progressive overload which builds muscle. And ate the 3 meals they gave him. And slept longer than most outside of prison. The strongest guys you’ll see in prison because strength and looking strong are two different things.
Do you think bodybuilders will have a 50 inch chest and NOT be able to bench a lot? Calisthenics is relative strength(aka control of ones body) and bodybuilding has carry over to max strength(aka lifting heavy weights). You're comparing apples to oranges. You're not going to get a 405 bench doing bodyweight pushups variants and you wont be doing muscle ups just from lat pulldowns. Pros and cons to both training styles so we can do both calisthenics & weightlifting(As said by Alpha Destiny, Austin Dunham and Tao Physique)
@@fittysit-tea5287 most bodybuilders can’t even do handstand let alone pull ups and one arm push-ups unless they do calisthenics as well. Yeah your bench totally matters mate. You look strong but you aren’t strong. Like I said master your own body. Mediocre fitness influencers will say that their opinions matter over thousands of prisoners who get big and gain loads of muscle in prison. If you want to do bench press then do it doesn’t matter to me. All I’m saying is calisthenics is way better. Looking stronger vs actually being strong
@@jbird4165 You didn't read what I said, didn't you? I said that a bodybuilder won't be doing handstand push-ups or frontlevers from body building alone. But a calisthenics athlete won't be bench 405 either. They are 2 different forms of strength(calisthenics being relative) & bodybuilding having carry over to max strength. That's like saying Kipchoge isn't a good cardio endurance athlete because he can't do 30 pullups(which would display muscular endurance due to high reps). Bodybuilders can lift more, calisthenics guys can control their bodyweight more. Both strong, just different adaptations of strength
We did it all with whatever we had. I saw guys with Olympian physiques in there. No juice but the one in the kitchen and comissary. I did bodyweight for 3 months and weights for a week and a half before I was released. The results were quite impressive once I got to look in a real mirror lol.
Progressive overload can be achieved by upping the amount of reps they do, so yes, technically, they can get jacked just from their body as long as they keep pushing themselves until failure but eventually it’s going to take so long to hit true muscular failure they might as well, not even really do it, because they’re very likely to just enhance their conditioning rather than build size after a certain point because it’ll take so many reps once they’ve had enough size build on top, but it is technically possible with enough discipline they can do it

Well for now 😂
Upper
Pull-ups
Push-ups
Dips
Shoulder press
Hanging leg raises
Lower
Squats
Romanian deadlift
Split squat or pistol squats
Calves raises
Hanging leg raises
I do upper and lower body splits as full body was getting harder as my reps went up. 🔥

And they train to failure so push ups when finished the straight away push up on knees and after that push ups of the wall keep going until it burns so much.
I love how people outside from jail always think they know how the people in jail are doing things
As someone who has trained at a MMA gym for 7 years now, practicing throwing punches doesn't not got your shoulders big, it's more of a cardio workout for them

Bro the “let me show you something” is alw the selling point of these vids. Why his voice so comforting
Robbing a bank to go to prison for a year to come out as the rock .
Can verify. I would watch inmates create amazing items with whatever they could find. Most impressive thing I saw were using tied seltzer bottles filled with water and with a loop to create kettlebells.
What was the loop made of?
Love the voice. ❤

this dude cured my insomnia
the average calisthenics practitioner doesn't do prison-style pushups.
Iron wolf
Ripright
Don't forget juice, ppl act like because it's prison they can't their hands on juice, but they can and they do.
Yessir, some guys can do it naturally but the real big dudes you see are getting sauce behind bars, or have a history of use before prison.
Bro I love ur voice, so calm ngl
This dudes whispering so he doesn’t wake his mom up
I’ve seen men who used to be in prison fill trash bags with water and lift. Gotta use what you got, huh?
did they turn you on?
Also just sheet volume. If you have nothing to do but workout all day you're going to get a crazy amount of volume in that most people won't.
The need to be strong and survive must have been enough motivation for most of those guys to go that hard
From what I hear, it seems like you get a lot of food but always feel hungry
Doesn’t matter if they don’t look big. Anyone who can master his own body and go from regular push-up to one arm to strong core muscles and calisthenics in general is far more impressive than a big dude who just looks “intimidating”
My brother went to prison and came out jacked and you can absolutely build muscle off of body weight.
Man you’re spittin mastering your body is far better
@@jbird4165 But someone who can lift 400 lbs is probably gonna be stronger than someone who can do 20 muscleups.
"To test this we are going to rob a sto-"
💀
saying "bodyweight isnt enough" is misleading. You're not gonna get an armold shwarzeneggar physique with calisthenics alone, but you can get jacked.
We did it all with whatever we had. I saw guys with Olympian physiques in there. No juice but the one in the kitchen and comissary. I did bodyweight for 3 months and weights for a week and a half before I was released. The results were quite impressive once I got to look in a real mirror lol.
I wished I was surrounded with other men who want to better themselves and we could challenge each other all the time
Go to the gym than
They just lift heavy ass things, eat a lot and the right nutrients plus sleep a lot.
How do you get the right nutrients in prison?
Heavy protein, fat, carb diet. The sleep is one of the main things though
@@budekins542sometimes you can still buy some food and stuff in prison
@@budekins542trust me guys in there eating healthier than most free dudes
Progressive overload can be achieved by upping the amount of reps they do, so yes, technically, they can get jacked just from their body as long as they keep pushing themselves until failure but eventually it’s going to take so long to hit true muscular failure they might as well, not even really do it, because they’re very likely to just enhance their conditioning rather than build size after a certain point because it’ll take so many reps once they’ve had enough size build on top, but it is technically possible with enough discipline they can do it
the voice too lit
Testosterone levels are on another level in prison
That's the opposite of true
@@imjusttrollingyou.5799 Alright bro Im not reading all that but stress is shown to decrease levels of testosterone so if anything prisoners would have low test

Im living proof that you can build a good amount of muscle by training only with body weight. Ppl really dont know unless they’ve actually put the work in themselves or no someone personally whp actually has put the work jn themselves. At the end of the day it all depends on what your goal is, pick the training method and strategies that will keep progressing towards your goal.
Its also the fact that they are being under constant stress of getting beat up.
Exactly! They always add weight to their body weight to get jacked.
