Thanks Brian, New DMXer here. This by far looks to be the easiest entry into the DMX world. I give up on the DMX boards like the adj dmx operator 384, nothing intuitive about them. In today app driven world this makes the most sense.
Just got mine and played with it yesterday and I LOVE it! So much easier than the Airstream which is now glitchy, and way easier than Sound Switch. This is it! Yes light rider blah blah blah. The important thing is that it’s easy and great to use. Didn’t buy Light Rider because I figured it may be phased out. Two thumbs up!
I know nothing about DMX, but want to learn as all my lighting fixtures can now be connected. looking forward to some more videos to see how this all works. Keep it up. cheers!

hi as of right now only port 1 outputs DMX on the mydmx GO APP, I have requested the hardware team to enable both ports to split the same DMX signal. But as of right now, only port 1 sends DMX on the App.
Hello , Brian I have bought the huge 90 watt LED MOVING HEADS (no BRAND name) and I don't know what brand to pick out the bunch . I have tried several but none of them seems to work right . Advise?
Thank you Brain so once you configure them with an address, you connect them via the DMX cables (in and out) and the software identifies them by the address they were given when you set them up? If this is a future lesson you can let me know.

You can just run DMX cables from the dongle. This is only a wireless connection from the tablet to the dongle. I mean, it's possible to run it wireless with additional stuff, but DMX cables is all you really need

I’ve been using the Light Rider App, with the Airstream Bridge, which is the developer of this app. It is awesome! I will never go back to programming dmx light shows ever again!

Just curious...Are you referring to programming non moving head/wash light fixtures this way? The reason i ask is there is very little reason to visit the fixtures page when creating presets for moving heads and wash light type fixtures... its all right there in live mode... my method is to make a scene ...save it as a preset... then tweak colors and movements and save it as another preset...and repeat...

Hi Filip, in myDMX Go you have two types of Colors. One are the RGB Colors (Could be find in the Middle of the color selection) and the colors from the Color Wheels from your movingheads. (These you will can select on the outside ring) These booth colors can be operating seperatly but if you not selecting a color on the color wheel the app will orientated on the RGB colors automatic. Let me know if you have further questions.
Hey Brian. Quick question. What to the buttons on the dongle do? And what is does moving the up or down number wise on the dongle actually mean? If it connects via wifi, then what do the numbers matter? Plus, I tried it at an event this past weekend and was having fun, but it dropped out like 20 times. I had to reconnect the wifi connection to continue and the units were maybe 3 feet from each other all night. Did you experience this?
Mine drops out too....luckily not at a gig yet... but as im here out my house learning to use it... i contacted adj and they said it might be the fact that im going straight out of the reciever with a donner wireless dongle.. but if i cant use that and have to run a wire then im not happy....kinda defeats the purpose of wireless What tablet are you using? im using a Samsung Tab 4... bout 5 years old or so... thought that might be an issue...
I'm using an LG G PAD F2. 8.O. I talked with someone at adj and found out the buttons on the dongle. Apparently, they are backups if you aren't connected to wifi. 1-8 preprogrammed shows. And the D button is a dimmer. Who knew? I will need to test these, but that's what the adj rep told me. The dongle can be used without a wifi connected tablet .

HI all! Just to make everyone aware ... Contrary to what ADJ corporate sales told me this interface will NOT control WiFly fixtures directly. Apparently I have to buy the WiFly EXR Battery Transmitter/Receiver as well. I figured as much so that's why I called and asked specifically about it. It seems easy and intuitive to use but I'll just get a set of something like the Donner DMX transceivers and control everything wirelessly as well.
You can use the Airstream Bridge with the original provider/designer of the app Light Rider for about $80 (the app of free). This is what I use for my light shows

Update, so if you download the app from Light rider, their version will allow you to purchase a licence to connect via several different dongles, for example $29 bucks to use the Sushi DS (which PSSL gave me for free.)
After going through lots of video, training, debates, etc.. I bought the ADJ AirStream last week and then "BAM" ADJ comes out with a "superior product" for less AND I have to pay more to make it work with the companies own products that I have purchased ( in good faith that it would be supported in the future." Do I mis-understand something or has this customer been slid under the bus?
Interesting development, my Airstream died after 3 mins. So, I have a choice, return the airstream for a refund and buy the new toys or get it replaced and buy the mydmx-go license. any ideas folks?
GK AUDIO TIJUANA it’s the same, adj is just licensing the app with their name and product. Light Rider has their own artnet/dmx with WiFi signal they are now marketing as well. I use my Airstream Bridge
Just received my own mydmxGO. I have been using an OBEY70 along with a stage designer 50... Here is the problem I am currently encountering. Hopefully you have the solution. I have the Amazon Fire 8 which shows the program screen like in your video. However when I go to live screen and touch on mydmxGO I receive error codes either 66 or 30. I am unable to control either pars or moving heads..... Any Ideas

Which would be a better fit for someone new to wedding lighting this or airstream dmx?
Can you stobe a par (or other lights than the moving heads) without the buildup? So not for a moment but for a while?

Yes you can use the inbuilt pad microphone for sound to light

Trying to find the mode to keep pars still on a set color haven't had any luck finding it,
DO MYDMX GO work with any type of moving head or does it need to be only ADJ LIGHTS

I think it's the same, you can just go another direction with the cable or maybe add a wireless dongle

Yeah that's pretty much how it works. I'll do a video on adding fixtures & addressing the fixtures themselves
You have to tell the software which fixture is on which address

@@chrislilly1981 Try switching channels on your donner wireless transmitters and receivers. It all uses the same clogged 2.4Ghz band so...
