    I used thin, plastic coated wire from home depot and mounted it like a picture frame. I can adjust it left and right like a picture.

    Another board across the bottom tv mounting holes will greatly reduce stress on the bracket and stop the tv from tilting forward.

    This kind of mounting is very practical and easy to do. Not very secure though in places where there are earthquakes. It will fall immediatelly.

      Or if someone accidentally bump on it. I do the same but with metal flat hooks. I believe these come from a sofa with meridian (the pieces of metal that tighten up them together), not sure though. At the end the back of the tv is at less than half a inch of the wall. Now, I have to make a nice frame and add curtains around.

    I went ahead and drilled a hole that goes from the top board through the bottom one. Then used a metal rod to help prevent it from sliding side to side.

      @@godlyrunz3809 Yes it works great. Just use the proper screws and wall anchors if you're not mounting to wall studs.

    That doesn't put too much pressure in the plastic of the TV where the bolts are? Looks like it may eventually crack.

    • @slatebook2384
      @slatebook2384 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually, those tv are pretty light, i've got a Samsung 50 which is less than 11 kg. Still you question is legit.

  • @jptrustno1
    @jptrustno1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Preferably ull want to use lag bolts instead of 2 little screws. Pre-drill into the studs, wrench some lag bolt in, literally do 1 pull-up on the wall mount to know for sure itll hold, AND THEN mount the tv onto the wall mount.

      Cut a square in the wall and take the insulation out then pop it in 😅

  • @ceve3963
    @ceve3963 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If u cut the wall mount beveled on both sides . Mount another board to the bottom nuts on the tv so it would slide threw the wall mount . I’d just be worried about a child knocking it on them or there siblings. Or predrill a big enough hole threw the center to mount both boards together. 😊

    I want to mount this in my garage above my exterior door but sometimes the wind slams the door shut , is it going to make it pop off the cleat if that happens ?

    • @chernobylsurvivr
      @chernobylsurvivr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you pre drill 2 holes before cutting the 45 and use 4" long 1/2 dowls glued into the top piece that will make it more secure. I know im 6 months late but thats what I plan on doing

    • @marcosmireles7545
      @marcosmireles7545 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      As long as you find some decent wood material, span it across 2 studs. I'm positive that it'll hold up a 65 inch. Same process just make your pieces of wood lengthier to span accordingly.

      Just by gravity, the opposing angles cause the top board to be pushed against the wall when the weight of the tv is pressed into it
