Big Choice is my nostalgia record, it was my first FTF album and I have a ton of memories of listening to it in my friend's house in high school. Low key Velocity is one of my all time FTF jams, even dropped it on a playlist for the girl I just started dating. I also feel like the last two records are pretty great, Protection is one of my favorite comeback records of all time. My list: S - S/T A - Big Choice/Protection/Don't Turn Away B - Reactionary/No Way Out C - How to Ruin/Laugh Now D - Ignorance is Bliss/Three Chords
Pretty solid list, only place we are really different is HTRE. Big Choice is definitely better than we gave it credit for... Just so hard to rank these albums aside from the D Tier
Ignorance is Bliss is severely underrated. I was at the record release show in Chicago and the fans straight up booed them. I'd put it in the A/B+ tier.

I introduced F2F to my wife in '97. She tends to love albums most people hate so Ignorance Is Bliss ranks up pretty high for her. I never connected with Big Choice but loved S/T then up and down until the last 2 albums which I love! We think the cover albums are also good!
I got into Face to Face with there debut album,there's alot of underated tracks on that album yeah everyone loves disconnected of course but there's some big jems on there no authority,you've got a problem,I want.There self titled album is really good too.And how to ruin everything is another good album.
I think the self-titled is one of the best punk/rock albums of all time, probably in my top 20 records, How to Ruin Everything not too far behind either. Thanks for checking out the video!
Whatever else you might say about Big Choice, that album is a pick slide masterpiece. Both the quantity and quality of the pick slides is just next level. You can tell they recorded extra tracks, just for the pick slides, and then they've got the timing sort of offset so as one pick slide track is trailing off the other two are still screaming down the neck. This is significantly more effort than they've ever put into a guitar solo, pure genius really.
I don't think I've ever been as disappointed by an album as when Ignorance is Bliss came out. I was a HUGE face to face fan and absolutely love the first three albums. Ignorance was such a turn from what the band had previously done.
ST is their best for sure, but as someone who bought Ignorance is Bliss on release day( Best Buy!) I always loved the album. Burden is so good! Also, Bodies by AFI is probably my most disappointing album by a band i love. Been an AFI fan since 98 and Bodies is the first album of theirs i legitimately despise.
For me it’s all about the S/t album and then the 2 newest albums. I absolutely love the newer albums so I guess that would be my only disagreement. Great list and band overall with lots of ups and downs.

The more I listen to No Way Out the less I enjoy it, I really think they made the songs too long and it hurt the lasting appeal

Yeah a little harsh but that album is a dud. It's not terrible but Protection shows what they were capable of
