The Seahawk legend who would be the most impactful today is Steve Hutchinson. His presence would solidify the left guard position while enhancing the performance of the left tackle and center. With Charles Cross holding steady and Abraham Lucas reliable when healthy, the focus shifts to the center and right guard positions. Hutchinson’s dominance would allow those two to consistently double-team one of the opposing defensive linemen, while the other three linemen could handle one-on-one matchups and win consistently. It’s clearly Hutch, who is arguably a top 3 guard of all time. The other is Cortez Kennedy, as he would dominate and take over games with this d-line.
You know? Yiu brought up something I've never thought about! We NEVER hear as much about our offense., (and I've only been watching and learning about football/Seahawks for the last 4 years. ) I don't hear as much "Monday morning coffee talk" about our O-Line. Now That's on me to learn more but you did bring something important up. Giving up on offensive players too soon is a legitimate concern.. I was told my whole life that if students keep failing, to take a look at the teacher. Like I said, I'm still learning about the game played ON THE FIELD. I have NO IDEA what goes on OFF of the field, in the office! IF I could bring back any offensive player it would be Marshawn Lynch! ( by the way. I answered this at the beginning of this video. I wasn't listening when you first asked that question. I hadn't yet heard who you think should be brought back...AND I WAS RIGHT! BeastMode! He came back to help his brothers in that last game and playoff run! He came back to help his TRUE TEAM to help boost our spirits and to get out of our slump back in 2019? Who does THAT??? HE DID! Good content.
I think if Seattle gets a top 10 line Geno could put up madden numbers. But it will also help a future QB to take over. If you have a great center and tackle and guard. They could make up for the rookie contracts on the other positions.
I would have picked Tez. I truly believe that is the position we prioritize in the draft. Have for about 2 months now. That pushes Byron back to his position and solidifies this D line. I like your takes on RG Dan. I think Haynes is a year or two away, and that’s ok. Not everyone can come in right away. But to see what we have Laumea is only going to be a benefit, good or bad. This is an evaluation year, it’s just a bonus we happen to be in contention for the division. We are learning our deficiencies at a rapid pace and will speed up the process. There aren’t as many as we thought there were a few short months ago. I consider that a win
What?.... There's more than 4 busts here.. You can't judge the player on what they did after leaving the seahawks because that kinda proves Schneider doesn't know how to draft for his coaching staff and their schemes... with that said!!!... your list, in my opinion. Okung 👍🏻 Carpenter 👎🏻 Moffitt 👎🏻 Britt 👍🏻👎🏻...50/50 👋🏻 Poole 👎🏻 Glowinski 👎🏻 Odhiambo 👎🏻 Ifedi 👎🏻 Pocic 👎🏻👎🏻 Haynes 👎🏻 Lewis 👍🏻 Lucus 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Cross 👍🏻👍🏻 C. Haynes 👋🏻 50/50 Count them up brother that's a lot of thumbs down 👎🏻.... I'm thinking the Oline evaluator might be a relative of John's and his wife will yell at him if he fires this person....🤷🏻♂️ PS. And thats a lot of offensive linemen without a second contract, lets face it as much as i love John him & his staff suck a fat one at drafting Olinemen..
I think it was you that mentioned early on not to over look Sataoa Laumea? Before the season. Since then I've been waiting to see how he proceeded throught the ranks. Hope he has a good game!
Haynes appears to clearly be a guy that was over-valued out of college. He always had the size and length concerns but he just isn't ready for the pros. Bradford and Tomlinson have been horrible for the most part and Haynes never showed he could be an improvement. We'll see how this goes. I just want to see someone open some holes for the run game. I'm sick of watching Walker constantly have to bounce around 2-3 yds in the backfield because we get no push whatsoever. Pass blocking will come if we get the run blocking working. Olu should have been starting day 1, imo. Even going back to last year.
Seattle gave up on these players for good reason. They were/are either lacking skills or were going to be overpaid free agents. The problem is the scouting. They pick guys that don't have it. They overreach. Carpenter, Moffet, Ifedi. They sign washed up retreads. Tomlinson, et al. The Baker/Dotson flips have been epic successes. Unbelievably huge win. If coach Mike doesn't see in Haynes what he needs and won't play him, there's a good reason. In McDonald I trust. If you want more missteps on the OL, bring back Pete Carroll.
I said during the survey and still stand by it: Marshawn Lynch. He would open up our run game, which in turn would make our offense more dynamic and less predictable.
I mean he’s been giving every opportunity lol heck Anthony Bradford is terrible, awful, but he’s still a better option then Haynes and it shows because his technique and core strength isn’t there on most reps
Im sorry I’ll still bring back jones and cross can play right. If we can bring Trent Williams at his prime now and he is affordable are we saying no? If the poll is would you steal Trent Williams In his prime or cmc in his prime I think everyone will say Trent
@@mikeygaming9402 I said hypothetically. And he didn’t he just got a restructured deal so he leaves more cap hits to niners in the future as he retires so good for him
I don't disagree with you that Haynes could use some patience before throwing him away on a self fulfilling prophecy. On the other hand, despite all the measurables that a team might use to evaluate talent, the one that's hard to know is the "want to" factor. Just how much to they want to beat the snot out of the guy across from them. How much do they want to win so bad that they give that 110% that we use to tout. Does Haynes have that? Haven't seen it.........yet.
Thought i heard something about this in a mike interview recently where he said he really values guys who really want it, are willing to put in the extra effort in practice, and just have a love for ball that makes them finish plays well. Wonder if its more of a mentality thing and that haynes hasnt shown as high a motor as the other options
First off, its inexcusable that Schneider picked such a spectacular bust as Haynes clearly is. They should have done better research including talking to his college coaches. That said, there's got to be a huge story going on behind the scenes with Haynes. I've never seen ANY rookie come into camp and land in the doghouse as fast as Haynes. When I've seen Haynes play there were games I felt he outplayed Bradford and others I thought he utterly failed. I feel like what is going on is a personal hatred from someone on the coaching staff against Haynes. If I was to guess I think its probably personal between Haynes and Scott Huff. Huff has had an up and down career as a coach and I believe he's let personal feelings cause issues on the line before. I know this is speculation but I can't see any other explanation for them to put Laumea in front of Haynes. Haynes just isn't that bad to not give him another chance.
It's also possible this is on Haynes. Maybe he has a bad attitude and is unwilling to work hard to improve. Of course, if that is true they should have found this out and not drafted him to begin with.
You start off saying Haynes is “clearly a spectacular bust “and finish with “he just isn’t that bad” 🤣 make up your mind! I’m fine with Laomea getting a shot. All that speculation about some kind of personal grudge is ridiculous. Just sit back and leave it to the professionals.

Anthony Bradford was a 4th round pick just 2 years ago.

Christian Haynes isn’t the problem. Not drafting Puni who went right after him was the mistake

Go hawks!

Is the coaching staff getting too caught up in Haynes' lack of size and length and as a result not fairly giving him a chance?

@@mikeygaming9402 I said hypothetically. And he didn’t he just got a restructured deal so he leaves more cap hits to niners in the future as he retires so good for him
@ but even then they wouldn’t trade him to a division rival and we don’t have a lot of cap room to give him a deal
@ yes I know I’m using it as an example of would you want jones or lynch. I love beast mode but you can’t say no to Walter jones ever in any era

We just play well in this stadium 🎉
The right answer to the survey is Mike Holmgren as OC.
Hutchinson ❤
Anyone know Haynes' PFF grades against the Cardinals?
