“What did you feel when you shot that terrorist?”
“Idk, recoil?”
LMAO
@@v3tReacts
I believe the original quote was from Ukrainian WW2 sniper Lyudmila Pavlichenko during her war bond drive in the USA with Eleanor Roosevelt.
"What do you feel when you kill Germans?
"the recoil".
"How many men did you kill"
"I kill fascists not men."
@@imnotyourfriendbuddy1883 same thing was asked to a polish mercenary who fought the commies. They asked him how many men did you kill and he answered I did not kill men I killed communists
Sabaton actually went to the site of the battle of Belloue Wood and there is a monument still there today in commemoration to the Marines that died there.
🔥🤘
And there's more to the recognition of the marines, Belleau Wood was officially renamed "bois de la brigade des Marines" ("wood of the Marines' brigade") by the general commander of the 6th french army in 1918, 4 days after the end of the battle
@@aguywhochill,
"Sie wis zeir Tueffle Hunde"
- Some poor dead German commander
My great grandfather’s youngest brother, Charles H. Keeney, went MIA at Belleau Wood. Always think of him when I blast this song
God bless him I thank him for his service
Semper Fi
He if it makes ya fell any better he probably took allot of the enemy with him
It is an honor to hear your tale
❤❤❤God bless him I thank him for his service❤❤❤
I’m really kind of glad you addressed the observing line...
My great grandfather served in both wars and was sadly lost in the second. My grandmother said when he spoke of the us army following world war 1 that “he had never seen such an intense, unified and effective force, it was awe inspiring but it’d be nice if they could show up on time”.
Keep up the wonderful reactions. A humble English fan.
Why would we involve ourselves in YOUR mess. It's more like you idiots irresponsibly plunged the not only Europe, but the entire world into a senseless meatgrinder of a war that served little to no purpose beyond proving how incompetent your royalty was. And then America had to come in save you.
Not only once, but you did it TWICE.
I can 100% suggest reacting to The Lost Battalion by Sabaton. Written about a World War 1 U.S. battalion that was surrounded and never surrendered until they where finally saved. The drums are all sounds from war, a 9mm, bayonet, and .50 Cal, instead of a real drum.
Th at song still gives me chills, the spirit those men had is unbelievable. Sun Tzu said "put your soldiers into possition once there is no escape, and they will prefer death to flight"
@@bhight100 And that quote brings us to "The Price of a Mile" what a chilling song
@@SashaX19, they used that quote in their history version of that song.
To Hell and Back by Sabaton
That's a good one to do a reaction to Sabaton history channel as well. Tells Audey Murphy story.
@Doug Parker thats awesome
Fun fact about the Marine in the video holding the shotgun.
Despite using poison gas, flamethrowers, and serrated bayonets, the Axis considered the American's use of shotguns to be "inhumane" and deemed it too a cruel weapon. Going so far as to tell American commanders that if soldiers were taken prisoner and were found to use a shotgun or even carry shells they would be executed.
To which the Americans responded that they would do the same if they captured an Axis soldier carrying a serrated bayonet.
They weren't called the Axis, they were called the Central Powers
@Fredrik Larsson
The Axis Powers were from World War 2.
The Central Powers were from World War 1
The Central Powers considered shotguns in the trenches inhumane.
You guys should react to:
- Great War
- Bismarck
- Fields of Verdun
Keep it up!!
I think you gentlemen would appreciate To Hell and Back, by Sabaton. it's about PTSD in general and Audie Murphy in particular. One of their best songs, in my opinion.
You guys might like Sabatons
"Lost Battalion"
"Into the Fire"
Look for ones with relative scenes of movies or documentary scenes that go with the song to add context visuals
82nd All The Way is a must listen.
If you’re interested in hearing the history behind the story they have a history channel where they describe the history behind the songs called Sabaton History here on TH-cam
"Do they always sound like this" Technically no, there are a few times the song doesn't instantly ("Wolfpack" comes to mind) start but not many.
Speaking of the evolution of warfare, Sabaton has one about part of that, specifically the first battle involving tanks, and the first tank on tank engagement: The Future of Warfare
But they have to watch the history version, that makes it so much better
In case you didn't know the quote is from Sgt Dan Daily during the fight.
May I suggest checking out Knight SGC if you are planning to check out more Sabaton songs? He makes excellent music videos but they don't tend to show up in the algorithm since his channel was nuked by youtube for bullshit reasons. I particularly like the video he made for Devil dogs. Using both ww1 footage, some from this music video, and taking film from a ww1 movie and then syncing it to the songs beat. I highly recommend checking his stuff out, though some of his videos now only exist as copies on other channels after his got vaporized.
For Marine reactions, yall should totally look up Sabaton "Camouflage". Its an amazing song about Marine Espirit de Corps.
Semper fi 🔥🤘
Camouflage is a cover. The original was by Stan Ridgway. Great cover though.
@@christopherpittman2689, I didnt like the original, I just watched it, I like the extra they had in it and wish sabaton had left more of it in, but the at original was pretty bad to me.
The soldier who appears the beginning of the song is Hans Van Dalh the drummer ....beautiful man is married with Floor Jansen
She’s my favorite chick singer ever.
I freakin love this song ! I found this reaction video, instantly clicked and DAMN MAN, you guys are so positive with great energy ! Probably my favorite video on youtube so far ! Keep goin !!!!!!
Kill is a term used synonymously with ok in the Corps... i say charge the hill, they say kill or errr
KILL!!! FORWARD!!
My college professor for English writing (Retired now) was originally a Marine Corp Veteran (GREAT combination by the way; military veteran becoming a writing professor in a college... Do NOT forget your assignments or break rules in his class XD). He never heard of Sabaton and during off-hours for studying I was usually listening to music with my headset. When it came to writing a paper I chose to do on military history not being taught in my area's schools I was listening to Sabaton a lot and he happened to be checking the lounge area to see if any of his students had stayed to study (He mostly did it to remind us not to stay TOO late because then we'd get locked in). Introduced him to Sabaton with this song actually and he's been a fan of it since. Also the only professor of the two that graded our papers that didn't turn down mine. The other one said, and I quote, "You can't write about military things, it's not right". He on the other hand didn't care it was about military history and schooling, what he cared about was that I had four typos and two punctuation misses. Got a pretty decent score on the paper overall, after I fixed the errors.
Honestly, him and a few other professors, I kind of miss them. He was also the only professor that didn't care if I looked like I was fifteen but at the time was in my earlier twenties (Twenty-seven now actually), he took his students seriously and was the only one I actually got along with because he was hard on us but it was for good reasons. Still in touch with him actually, as are three other classmates. He didn't judge you for your beliefs or your appearance, he only judged you on your willingness to learn. Of the thirty students we had in the class, only six of us were willing to learn, the rest either gave up, goofed off, or were overconfident in their writing skills. Most of them wound up failing exams and writing tests. Highlight of my time in his class was when he gave us all the answers to an upcoming exam and told us to copy them all down, but the catch was you could only use as many answers as you could fit on a postcard. Most could only fit the first twenty on the front and ten on the back... I fit EVERY answer on the card by writing very tiny, because I wear glasses and by pushing my glasses forward a bit it acts like a magnifying glass so I could read the tiny answers. Got a laugh out of him for that stunt and we became friends after he retired from being a professor.
💯🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Great reaction guys!
Thank you!! 😁
Looks like you guys managed to find a Song that was close to your own background, Sabaton seem to have songs to inspire many people from many backgrounds.
"Come you apes, do you wanna live forever?" That phrase originated in this battle. It was stated by Sergeant Major Daniel Daly as they were getting mown down in the fields. And so they kept going...
Another great quote was from before the battle.
The US marines were setting up closer to the wood while the rest of the Allied armies were falling back. They were told to retreat and set up their defenses farther back, and one marine's response was "Retreat? Hell, we just got here!"
The Price of a Mile, Carolous Rex, Shiroyama, just to name a few more.
suggestions: Primo Victoria, Bismarck, Midway, Lost Battalion,
Suggested: Sabaton's discography
A salute to you from Canada 🇨🇦
Heavy metal that teaches history. You should go through all their songs & history channel. BTW it was filmed by active-duty Marines and can be seen at the Museum of the Corps in DC
🤘🤘
Legit the war:
America: those pieces of shits stole our crayons
I have the feeling that people wouldn't whine about freedom, if our freedoms weren't slowly being infringed upon by our own government, but i get your point.
Came upon this video and channel randomly, pretty cool stuff guys.
And also, thanks for your service you two. You guys do things i never could, unless absolutely forced into that situation.
o7
What a pace this song sets for the video..yercheart races thru the whole song
Yous should react to Sabatons Rise of Evil, it’s another good song, little controversial but awesome still
Its only controversial if you're a child who isnt willing to listen to history. It is simply telling a story. They only wish to preserve the history others wish to ignore or forget.
Came across this by complete accident, but it's great. The middle guy is my favourite :D
Did anyone else note the RED poppies in the field??? in the UK that is a FAMOUS symbol for the fallen troops !!!!
check out their live perfomance, they usually have a tank on stage and rifles on their mic stands.
Great one guys!🤘🤘 Try the live version of Devil Dogs, you won't be disappointed!
Guy in the middle when the lyrics "c'mon you sons of bitches wanna live forever " didn't get why you two were excited
My mom was in the W.R.A.A.F. in WWII. People talk to your old folks before it is too late to find out how they served, and in my mom's case ripped off farmers (tongue in cheek) and how they lived. Living history folks, can't find any better than that.
Every time you pause a Sabaton Video. YOU OWN YOUR SUBS 10 PUSHUPS!!!
"that's dedication dude, that's ww1"
*laughs in 11 battles of the Isonzo river*
Ghost divison / Red Baron so many great songs of Sabaton to react to .....
These are my favorite Sabaton songs! (Also Bismarck)
And look at the date. June 6th. 26 years before D-Day.
DARKIEE69 yessssir
one of my favorite sabaton songs, love it!
glad you liked it :D
Retreat? Hell, we just got here.
most of the footage is from the movie THE LOST BATTLION about a battlion of the us army in ww1...sabaton also has a song about the battlion called THE LOST BATTLION check it out
That’s why I’m joining the military
The way i think about WW1 is that it was the bridge and overlap between cavalry on horseback and tanks and gattling guns. Some of the first battles of WW1 were massacres because countries were sending soldiers in on horseback against tanks, gas, mines, flamethrowers. so yeah lmfao
Why is Jaba in the middle? Didn't he get Han Solo?
🤣🤣😂
@@v3tReacts Just found your channel, and I love the fact that it is seemingly unedited... You pause at totally wrong times and talk what ever... But you still hopp back to where you interrupted which is cool.. But It still feels like a true early 2000's channel when YT was a Lawless Wasteland in all its glory and uploaders were unknown and had nothing to gain from uploading dumb shit on a dumb website...
3 f ing POGS
gtfoh lol thanks for watching
When the marines arrived in belleau the French did what they typically do retreat French told the marines they should retreat too captain Loyd Williams said retreat hell? We just got here later in the battle gnysgt Dan Daily to inspire his men come on you sons of bitches do you want to live forever... this line a little changed was used in the movie starship troopers
Belleau Wood is the battle... Gunnery Sgt. Daly “C’mon you sons-of-bitches, do you want to live forever?”
If you want more about US forces you should check out 82nd all the way from the latest album, it's one of the best songs on it in my opinion
My grandfather, a navy veteran, sent me a link to this video with no context besides "Marines are dumb."
I was told that the video used here is still shown to US Marines in boot camp.
@Big Ugly could answer that one! 🔥🤘
You might like Epica too, has a grawler and a soprano in it maybe several grawlers. Consign To Oblivian live in Paris by Epica 💕💕💕
i can add them to the list.

I recomend to react to Sabaton - En Livstid I Krig And put the text on for the swedish text is difrent from the one in eng.
In each war, as the Germans retreated, they left all sorts of nasty traps
What the hell was happening the first two minutes?😅
Diese Teufelshunde!
Guy in the middle seems too young to be one from the Project 100,000. Did they renew the project lately?
Lol I'm going to have to drink a beer or I'm going to get electrocuted 😆

Great reaction! But, being Russian, I'm especially interested in that "next video" after the song. Why are you recommended to listen to russian music?
not sure honestly
That's not recommended music, that's another video on that specific channel.
I love all of your other reactions, but could you not rewind 30secs at a time, for 15 times? :D Even 10 secs is enough. Pausing is more preferrable, than whatching the same point of the video 4 times. LUL
sabaton is my pride and joy but please don´t destroy the song by pausing so mutch
“Retreat? Hell, we just got here!”
Edit; And i just love seeing the “Trench gun” in the hands of marines, keeps making me remember that Germany told the U.S to stop using it because it was inhumane and caused unnecessary suffering. GERMANY, of all counties XD
And I immediately think after that complaint ALL U.S troops used the trench gun out of spite
lol our poison gas was much more humane, I think 😂
