what the fuck is the logic, for people who have to drive like a minute down the road to get home it's obviously not acceptable but it is understandable but she was on a major road, i doubt there are suburban/residential areas close by so did she really think she would be fine driving a far distance, 15-30 minutes? keep in mind, what we see is her after sleeping for a bit, the police showing up, her sleeping while the police wait for backup and then finally waking up so she was probably even more fucked up when she started driving

Driving while tired or exhausted is still illegal because you can do stuff like cause accidents just as easy as if you were drinking or on drugs. You are still held accountable. You cannot fall asleep at the wheel in the road with your car on drive.
Back in my rapscallious youth I'd sleep in my car a lot and sometimes I'd leave it running so I could keep the heat on in the winter. I only ever got woken up by the police one time and they just told me to go park somewhere else.

The kids found it funny but she was actually really embarrassed that she could nod off in front of her whole class like that.

One time two of my friends and I were sitting behind a car after a night out. The light turned green and the car didn’t move. So we sit and wait and honk the horn. Nothing. We pull up beside her and she’s passed out. My friend knocks on the window and the woman floors the car. I said let’s follow her make she’s okay. As soon as she turns to get onto the highway she rams on the guard rail. Her car was still drove so my friend hoops out and drives the lady home as we follow him to her house. She also had a car seat in the back. Feel bad for the kid.
