I don't know if/when they'll make a version for that ... they just transitioned their whole sales story so we've been waiting for awhile for new products, etc. Hopefully they'll address the non-110 market sometime soon! - Kat
We don't know definitively, but assuming not. Since we don't support the warranty or repair Bonavita, we're not sure what individual parts / replacements you may have access to. Sorry that we can't help! :( - Kat
I'm sorry I didn't note this down when we were doing it and don't recall :( I know that we usually do 24 grams to 13.5 oz total water volume, so I'm guessing we did the same here. - Kat
I'm on my third 1L Bonavita in the last year. It is nice that Bonavita replaces each unit that has stopped working, but the reliability is certainly questionable. I now have three kettle with one heating unit. Why can't they just replace the heating unit?
I was looking at this kettle as Bonavita electronics are finally available for European market and this one takes 1 liter and is 1000W for the same price I have the Cuisinart variable temp kettle that takes 1,7 liters and is 2750W(bought mine here in Iceland) used daily for over 5 years without a single problem. I liter capacity and only 1000W is too low when brewing up a full pot of Chemex for several people. I need faster boiling and larger capacity as water goes into wetting the paper filter and heating the cups. I could live with the 1 liter capacity but not the 1000W power. I know that electronics run slower in USA because of the 110v system but why would this kettle not been made more powerful for European market and the 220v system ?
I'm confused about the temperature control and settings- Is it accurate? Does it have a setting to hold the temperature or does it reset every time you take it off the base?
Yes the temperature readout, and thus temperature control, is accurate. There is a button, not a setting, to hold the temperature. Every time you set the kettle back down onto the base you have to push the hold button again.
+Ian Bamberger Every coffee and grinder will be different, but somewhere between 20 and 30 is a good place to start :D Check this video out: th-cam.com/video/rENxum3wk9Y/w-d-xo.html
Ha ha, Gail! You have a video for every product I research! You should just give me your cell phone number so I may ask you directly! (Joke) Thanks for all the coffee guidance! I recently realized I need a better electric kettle, as I've been burning my Chemex coffee lately and my current kettle has no temperature gauge or thermometer!
Yes! We ship all over the US and we ship a ton of stuff outside of the country, too :) - Kat
These should be available next week - we're so excited! - Kaylie

Not at this time; I believe they are only producing for the NA market, but may change that in the future after the initial launch. - Kat
Very well explained.

I don't know if they will ...currently I believe they're focusing only on the NA market. - Kat
They are working on something similar to that for release later, I believe - Kat
Cool! Let us know if you have any questions as you're researching - Kat
Not sure about cost; should be available mid-July-ish - Kat

No - they have to have the little thermocoil in there in order to work with the base. - Kat
These kettles are great! - Kaylie

Manufacturing Built samples -- they must be pretty close to launching!! Any idea on cost?
Yeah, it's pretty cool! :) - Kat
Are previous manufactured kettles interchangeable with the base? And will the base be sold separately ? (the firts question will answer the next ;D)
I just discovered the timer feature of this kettle while watching this video
Awwwww -- well if either ever go out ... you know what to pick up next ;) - Kat
:D Well, we all started from somewhere, right? - Kat
What is your brewing ratio how much water and how much coffee, in grams please, and what temperature was the water in celsius, greetings from Norway
How about adding a built in scale to the stand to be able to measure water, boil and time all in one unit?

Do you guys send your products to New Jersey or no?

Hey SCG, would you recommend the Bonavita or the Zojirushi? and why
Thank you :)
wow they are using a mechanical relay?? thats a fast wear point if its kicking on and off.. they should use a solid state relay.
I haven't used the Zoji kettles so can't give a recommendation ... sorry :/ - Kat
What Virtuoso setting range would you use for Chemex brewing?

I'll pass on your suggestion - Kat
Hey SCG, do you know if the element replaceable in these?
Great BONAVITA
