- Today I'm unboxing a BJD shoe haul from Alice's Collections! ACBJD is a great place to find affordable doll stuff and I've always been happy with the service I receive from them. There was a little hiccup in this order, which I'll discuss in the video, but it got sorted out easily after I was done filming. The black boots are staying and will be part of a future project. :D
What's your favorite place to buy doll shoes? It can be hard to find them for some of the more unique bigger sizes!

Meanwhile, I’m starting to make my own shoes. Cloth or real leather shoes are hard to find, and I dislike pleather’s self destruct function
Yeah... I'm also not a fan of the pleather. But it's super hard to find materials to use for the soles! I figure when these someday fall apart, I'll dismantle them for patterns and make leather versions and reuse the plastic/rubber soles.

I am, yes. I have more patterns I'm working on, as well as tutorials for all the existing patterns, but I have to batch content to be able to keep up with it these days.
Ive always like the boot on rhe site but i've never had a reason to buy a pair
They have a great variety! It took me a long time to have dolls that could actually wear the shoes, though.
i have too many 1/4 size dolls that have no shoes because i can never find shoes that fit without looking like clown shoes
I know what you mean there... they're always huge! I think big boots works okay for my fantasy dolls, but some of them are like wow, are you trying out for a role in the new Kingdom Hearts game? Sheesh.

I love buying shoes! my boys have more shoes than underwear, A lot more. You mentioned taking in the wig. How do you do that? Most of my BJDs have wigs that are slightly too big and they fall off a lot
There are a couple ways to do it, but my favorite is adding elastic into the back of the wig to hold it tighter against the doll's head! Maybe I should make a video about it when I make the change...
