As far as the lift goes, you absolutely can do it without a lift, Moreton is all to do with tyre pressures. The sand in places can be very soft and the beaches especially at the southern end are impassable anywhere near high tide. There is not many places that I can think on the Island that would need high clearance, just drive to the conditions.

Great video. On the website it says you need to be vaccinated to go on the island. My family isn’t does anyone check or is that just not updated from Covid a few years ago? I’m looking to head up in oct

Thanks for watching, I'm not sure on the vaccination thing.
We went as soon as we could after covid lockdowns etc. and had to supply the certificate, every time we've gone since I think it says that if you have already submitted a certificate you don't need to again. Didn't really think about it.

How do you clean the salt water off your car?
Thanks for the question mate, has given me a great idea for an episode. Will get one done about this.
In the meantime, we start underneath and spray as much sand and salt off as possible, then tuck the hose inside the chassis rail for about 5 mins each side. Then spray the rest of the car first before a very good wash all over, including as much of the chassis as possible.

@MudModsBeers do you use soap inside your chassis? Also is there a specific underbody wash attachments you can use on the hose at home? Cheers and thank you. Great channel
Normally don’t use soap inside the chassis but it wouldn’t hurt. You can buy underbody wash attachments, we just get under with the hose and spray it manually. We have however been known to get a lawn sprinkler and set it under the car, moving it every so often till it’s done. Lazy way to do it!
