This is one of my favorite Merle Haggard songs. I just found your page a few weeks ago and I am learning a lot. I was able to hit the chords perfectly on this one just by listening to the song. Thank you so much. You play a lot of my favorites.
I added a little extra while on the "D" chord by dropping the pinky down on the high "E" on the third fret. for a couple of strums and then taking it off. It adds a little extra sound to it and sounds good in the right spots. If any of that made sense...lol.

Ok, no question is a stupid question. Supposedly. How do I tune my guitar one step down?
Tune your strings to D# G# C# F# A# and D#. These notes are 1/2 step down from EADGBE. Hope that helps!
