- Another amazing Partizan show was held on the 19th of May 2024 at the Newark Showground. I filmed 99% of the tables on show, so apologies if I missed yours. I did an interview with Barry from Like a Stonewall wargames group, but the audio failed and it was unusable, so apologies for that, Barry!

The Omaha table was spectacular, well done to Charles on that. I love the scope of the thing, the sweeping majesty of the whole beach, you can't beat that sort of thing.
More widely, a real mixed bag of eras, genres and some quality tables. Kudos to all.
And a note to you, Alex, good show in getting the footage edited and out so quickly. I hope you had time whilst in Newark to enjoy the show as well as the filming.
Cheers Dave, yeah, I had plenty of time to enjoy myself whilst there. It was good to catch up with a load of people as well.
Wow! SO many brilliant looking tables and games! It must have been a treat. Thank you for sharing it with us.
you're welcome!
Yes outstanding...all the tables.
Thanks for posting such a comprehensive coverage of the show. It’s the best on the circuit in my “old bloke’s “opinion.
Glad you enjoyed it, yep, it's the best for me as well.
Great report! Now I want to know more about upscaling Sharp Practice for a battle the size of Guilford Courthouse. Maybe I’ll remember to check my flyer miles for next year.
Thank you!
Thankyou for showing what was at partizan for us that are way down under and cant be there
you're welcome!
Lots of gorgeous-looking games there! I hope everyone who attended had a great convention. Thanks for sharing, SSW. -Michael
Cheers!
Brilliant video again Alex, showing me what I miss whilst running a game. I can’t believe how quickly you put this out you must have been up all night. Thanks to you and Paul Clarke for the interview and attention to my Omaha board. Catch you at the next show!
Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for agreeing to Paul's demands! See you again soon! Sorry for misspelling your name though!
sorry I missed this one....really great effoert Charles
Great video! Lots of history. Thankyou for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Good video Alex! Spent the morning playing CoC on that lovely Jitra table and didn't managed to get round half of the others before I had to pack it in and go, so this is a smashing roundup. Hope you had a good day of it mate.
No worries James, I saw you playing Jitra and didn't want to interrupt and then didn't see you again!
@@StormofSteelWargaming ah I saw you briefly but then couldn’t find *you* afterwards either! Eh well 😀
Cheers, as always I got to see all the games I didn't see, personally I missed the bit at the end of the video, you know the one where you catch Ken The Yarkshire Gamer swearing at something 😅
LOL, you've lost me enough money in de-monetisation...
Thanks Alex, much appreciated keep up the great work. Regards Lexi
Thank you! Will do!
Wow, that Omaha beach board! Thanks for filming and sharing!
You're welcome!
Mentana looking great! Fantastic game. Shout out to 21eme Regiment de ligne, VIVE L'EMEPRURE.
Awesome. Someday I’ll take in a convention across the pond. Really interested in big battle Sharp!
You should indeed!
Excellent video as always. No idea how we missed each other, I was keeping an eye out for you...mind you it was a very well attended show this time round. Busy right to the end.
Cheers Lee, yeah, I have no idea how I missed you as well.
Glad to have had the chance to meet you at the show. Thank you for your super filming of our game and all the other awesome games at the show. John Kersey
You too John and you're welcome!
Thanks for sharing these gorgeous tables, Gabene and Omaha are my favourites... 😍😍👍👍
You're welcome!
Very good video and some great games going on as well 👍👍👍🤠🤠🤠
Thank you 👍
Great stuff - superb tables there!
Indeed!
Out standing over view of Partizan wargames. It helped make up for not being able to get there. Thanks.
You're welcome!
Good to meet you yesterday, there were some very good looking games agreed. Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks, you too!
Great video, glad you interviewed the Omaha beech guys. Great table.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That is an amazing varsity great of games Alex. That was no doubt a hardship to attend!
Cheers, yeah, very difficult!
Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
If you ever thought 40k made tank battles seem too close up, how about those moon sized starships at fisticuffs range 😂 thanks for sharing some truly beautiful looking boards there, and you've also made me aware of Midgard, which I now really want!
LOL, I know, in the deep vastness of space you must get into close range... If you check out one of the earlier Partizan show reports, there's an interview with James Morris of Midgard fame. It looks like it will be an interesting game.
Oh nice, will watch this eve! @@StormofSteelWargaming
@@treesandgeeking I did the legwork for you and it's in this one: th-cam.com/video/0y9SH0KvJw4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zXbMbm5uRqWEj2oH
Omaha Beach is one of those games where you quickly go check your supply of 10mm figures and start planning !!!!
I did it in 6mm but part of me regrets not doing it in 2 or 3mm and bringing the whole thing closer to the ground scale. Maybe something to consider?
Always such amazing games at Partizan
The best of the best the hobby has to offer.
I think this show has the best looking games of all the shows in England.
100%
That Battlefleet Gothic game looked insane. How much storage needed for those minis!!? But then, could say that for a lot of the game terrain.
Yep, that was my first thought. Looking closely at them though it seems they may be able to break them down into pieces, making it easier to store them.
All the games were of a very high standard, but the Indian mutiny game was amazing.
Charlesrowntree! ...nice one...sounds great
An easy mistake to make.
Nice one! Hope you had a great day. Did you happen to find out what rules the 'Like a Stonewall Wargames Group' were using for their conquistador game?
Cheers, yes, it was Neil Thomas' One Hour Wargames
@@StormofSteelWargaming Ah OK - many thanks. Wargames, Soldiers and Strategy Facebook page seemed to suggest the rules were based on Neil Thomas' Ancient & Medieval Wargaming book. Either way, I'm guessing it's not possible to get a copy of their derived rule set. Shame. There don't seem to be that many sets of rules available for the conflicts. Might need to wait for In The Buff!!!
Actually, you are correct, I got it wrong, it's the Ancient and Medieval Thomas book, not the one hour wargames one.
Yes when I was passing the game I noticed they had that book out.
Barry will be gutted you didnt get his interview audio !
Next time!
No bloopers from Yarkshire Ken?
Not this time. He's demonetised me enough.
18:55 song please? :)
