One of the best Old School games I've EVER watched! Makes me realize how fun those old cards can be, and how many various decks are possible even with a relatively small set of cards to build decks from. I'd love to play Old School, both as a collector for the cards, and also for the games. But I don't know anyone who has these cards or who plays locally (unless via webcam).
Real grinder of a game! Nice one. But one question, since you had a gentleman agreement on the LOA, why not board it out? With your rule, I guess it is technically a draw 1 card but a better sideboard card might have been better? 🤔
Consider the name "Disco 'n Troll". Why? Because " 'n " is abbreviation for "&" or "and", (Like Fish n Chips). Also, since the Disco Troll deck is focused on so many control elements, you can spell out "control" in the new name, like Dis{co 'n Trol}l. Disco 'n Troll Dis - Control - l :D
Why didn't you replace Mind Twist and Library at the very beginning with cards from the sideboard? Also, I think I would have been more aggressive with The Deck. Turn 1 land, Lotus, crack lotus, play 2x ivory tower, time walk, take extra turn. No one really wins by gaining life, it's more important in the late game. Then play Chaos Orb, destroy his Volcanic. Then Strip Mine his next Volcanic. Now you have control of the game with a Counterspell in hand and a lot of tempo. Just wait, and gain life from 2x ivory tower while waiting to draw a threat. His 3x Maze were a problem though. I run blood moon in my The Deck sideboard. I also would have kept the lightning bolts since you know he is running Factories, and I would not have thrown away two Counterspell against his lightning bolts. You allowed a Nev's Disk because of that. In any case, perhaps consider blood moon and run more basic lands. This was a fun video to watch, thank you for sharing.
Perhaps the biggest reason why I didn't replace the Mind Twist and the Library with such a nice approach is because I got nervous because of the recording 😅 I still have to get used to it and it puts an unnecessary pressure on my play style🙄 I designed that Disco Troll list and I know that Oli had 3x Shatter waiting for my Towers. My intention was to gain 10 life before he finds 2x Shatter. And I could, which was a relief. There is no guarantee that after a big tempo boost, I get 4+ cards on my hand and start gaining life, because that Disco Troll list has 7 ways to destroy my towers after resolving them. So the towers had an expiration date in my mind 🤣 You may be very right about the counterspells vs the lightning bolts. I must admit that it was the first day I played with The Deck vs such a complicated Disco Troll list to beat 😜 And yes! Blood moon would fix the Mazes problems, but then it would remove my primary win condition at the same time 😊
I had all these cards when I was younger, it's sad to know that I will never have these again due to magic investors ruining the game for old school players. I can only hope the reserved list gets scrapped

Ill just say what we are all thinking.... why not just take out the mi dtwist and library instead of discarding redrawing?
But then there would be 58 cards in the deck and it would increase the chances to draw other good cards. Plus, it wouldn't be kind of legal 😜
