I've got this one and I need to play it. I felt the same way about the commando games based in Africa they felt very similar. But overall I enjoy them. Thanks for the review as always sir,
Steve Jackson minigames come to mind as giving the most bang for buck when they were released for five to eight dollars. And they came with a hard plastic case. By contrast, most of these Folio Games by Decision aren't worth the $20+ price tag. Not even close. You might play most of these Folio Games a couple times, then onto the shelf to collect dust, or to recycle bin.
Thanks for the review. I passed on this and got their LRDP... I sold that one off. This one appears to have a bit more in the way of choices to make, whereas LRDP seemed to me like after the equip phase it was just a die rolling exercise. I am not a huge fan of abstract "tactical" games like these.
With these mini games I have found that you only need one in the series (I ended up with Angola and Congo in the series...you only need Congo I found...the Angola feels like this one...using real operation names for abstract messes). And I'm with Len on the F&M series...I like the system and they cover modern more so than SCS did (I have Yom Kippur). The Green Hell issue of WaW I have and like a lot too. The Raiders system I'm still looking at to figure out which one to get at some point: Rogers’ Rangers: America’s First Commandos Vikings: Scourge of the North Lawrence of Arabia Heroes of Telemark I'm thinking Heroes of Telemark (seems I remember folks not caring for the Viking one). If anybody has a favorite here chime in (as Dave would say) and list your favorite of those 4.

You're welcome! I'd like to see Decision Games come out with more games from the Cold War Blitz series instead of more Commando games.

I've got a bunch from Steve Jackson Games. I'll have to review some more of them one of these days.
@@CenturionsReview I bet every one of 'em is better than Phobos Rising ;-)

I still need to get Lawrence of Arabia and Heroes of Telemark.
I had this game.
It was ok.
Nicely done guys, yet another Decision game to avoid.
Thanks!

You're in the lead again!
