Deerfield Railfanning

Last week, we encountered a minor derailment during our railfanning trip to Franklin Park. Thankfully nobody was hurt at the time of the incident and we were glad to help out keeping our schedule on track. This week, we returned to Deerfield, Illinois on the CP C&M Subdivision. It’s been quite a while since we last filmed trains here for a day so it seemed a good fitting to kickoff the month of April and it paid off very well despite a later start than expected. We started the first half of the day at Lake Cook Road station before venturing out closer towards Deerfield station where we found our favorite spot on Osterman Avenue. This is something we’ve never done before and we hope you like it. If it gets enough popularity, we may likely do it again later in the year. At the end of the day, we came home with a fantastic train for Highlight of the Day which made our day even better as always and this one is quite a good one despite we’ve seen this train multiple times before. And yes, no derailments this time. Enjoy the video!
