Cool rig. Love that flatbed. Reminds me of those Japanese small trucks that convert to flatbed. I’ve had Polaris Rangers and Kawasaki Mules and loved both. May have to try a CanAm next time.
Great video thank you for taking the time. Your a very well spoken guy, I appreciate that you held your tongue with naming the other dealer that screwed you, that was a classy move. God bless you
I have this same model on our farm. Never looked back. It fulfilled all our needs. Nowhere near the mods you have, in fact not modded at all. We don't have doors, ac or heat. But ok with it. It's a great machine. People trip when they see it. Always ask about the six foot bed.
If I didn't need the rear seat I would have loved a flatbed setup like this. It looks tough too, such a cool build. This is the first time I came across your channel, I love the energy and content, you've got another sub!
Now I want one. I thought it would be hard to pull me away from my Polaris General. Love the flatbed, and the entire setup in general (no pun intended). Great setup!
That's one sweet ride. I'm thinking of building one similar to it, but with few little differences. I live in Montana, we don't have the constant heat like you do. But lordy, it gets bitter cold here in the winter. We'll see temperatures down to -35 degrees without the windchill. So I'll definitely be running a snowplow. I'm going to contact Tuff Country about the front bumper, to see if I can run a snowplow with their bumper. I have been looking at a Thumper Fab bumper, but I really like the protection that your bumper as. Mine will be used for hunting, feeding livestock, and plowing snow.
Thanks for the shoutout! We have this question alot if it will fit or not on the Defender with long beds or the 6x6. We have heard from our customers that it will but may need to trim or modify a shield on the long bed. We have not tested this fitement yet here. Thanks for the reivew and we love watching!!
Very cool machine! I didn’t know Can Am had a model like that. I got a Kubota RTV 1100 I really like it, diesel, hydraulics, a/c heat, radio, love it. It doesn’t go fast but I’m ok with that. I like how you did the window tint on yours, I did the same on my Kubota. Good luck on your next hunt! Cheers 🍻
I have a 22 defender 6x6....reverse chain is weak, will snap and then wad up into the trans housing and crack the trans. Reverse chain upgrade is a must on these machines.
Very nice rig. Rotopax makes a bracket that you could mount those small cans in the compartment nder the bed...water at least. That would fix your bed tilting issue. Also mighttry mounting a counterweight of some type under the back edge of the bed to help with the tilt, would probably settle the ride down a bit as well.
A. When you were talking about the parts availability issue; this is one of the primary reasons why I did not end up buying a SxS. My sales guy who was really cool, was really frank with me and told me that there is a severely good chance than when my Maverick got delivered that it would not be ready to use/take home. I was surprised when he said that. I even asked him hey, if it doesn't come ready to take home am I still obligated to make payments? He said yes, I said no. Not worth it at all.
@@TxKiller Yeah, I was really excited to buy one. I live extremely close to the Rockies so tons of trails to go up and potentially use it to bag a deer or elk but not without the guarantee it's usable when it gets delivered. Maybe in the future, hopefully the supply chain gets better.
Can you still use the footwells...for storage.... under the bed from where the back seat would be? Nice looking rig......EDIT....Ha....opened storage up just at the end...I was too quick with my question....great thanks.
How is the noise of the machine? Does it sound like a truck? We have a Polaris general and it is so loud and scares the elk and mule deer when hunting. We are trying to find something quiet.
We have a Polaris ranger on 33” xt400’s with the super atv forward a arms. The shop that installed them opted not to put the steering stops because it reduces turning radius by a lot and since we only use it as a trail riding and hunting bike around our house and camp so that is why we went the route of not installing them. I definitely could see the benefit if you are a heavy mud rider or have the bike in a bind at full turn a lot though. I guess at the end of the day it just depends on the application of the machine. Just a thought and wanted to share my experience with it to possibly help you out/save you some time. Also yours is a can am while ours is a Polaris so they may be different and recommend more for one bike over the other. By no means am I telling you not to install them just thought I’d share my situation cause I too was undecided about it at first. Hope this info helps. Awesome looking rig and great content! Have a good one!
I’ll leave them out for a while, not in the mood to mess with it lol. If I damage the axles that’ll give me an excuse to upgrade and put the spacers in. Right now I really don’t see any big concerns. Thanks for the feedback on your experience.
@@TxKiller Yes sir! I 100% hear you! Same here, if I end up breaking an axel I’ll upgrade them and possibly put them in as well! It’s too hot right now anyway to mess with it lol! Have a good one!
I want one of these strictly for farm work and land management. Not sure why more brands don't make a larger bed like this. I'm not super brand loyal just want something that is reliable and has more usable work space for hauling unlike the typical smaller 4 foot bed
Great looking rig, I have the 22 Pro dps. Put a bunch of accessories on it glass windshield back glass soft Brp full doors roof. Going to install the inferno heater next week. I’ve been thinking about the forward a-arms, running 30” now but I’d like a little more clearance with just bigger tires. Great review on your rig
Thats a beauty Rig man. You made that thing nice. Ive always said tires are one of the best compliments of a vehicle. The tint and bumpers make it look badass. Only thing i think would be an issue its the winch on the headache rack, if it had gusset bars i would be more of a fan but i guess if you watch the flex when you winching you be good but i would definitely add a 3-5k which on the rear.
@@TxKiller Yea i totally get that, just risky spot imo if the pig gets snagged up or something it would be easy to bend that rack. All good man. Like i said that rig is beautiful. Well done
@@cheeseymccheese7249 Zero issues so far, a guy loaded a moose with the same rack. If anything we load gets in a bind you just back off and correct the issue.
Looked at this model today. Would love it on my ranch and to ice fish. Only concern is how long of trailer I'd need to haul it with tracks. Have a 14ft trailer now, don't really want to buy a new trailer too.
Have you checked your speed with a GPS? Or, have you adjusted the speedo for the tire size? Bigger tires should equate to a higher top speed but slower take off and thus, the speedo should read SLOWER that you're actually going. Given that everything is digital these days that speedo should be tweakable. Just wondering, what was the stock tire size?
@@TxKiller If you ever feel the need, check your top speed with a GPS. You should find the Speedo reading 11-20% slower than actual. I'm not sure how it calculates (gear or sensor) but then you will know, and have no need to adjust it. And then adjust it again if you get 33's. Thanks for the info, I'm looking to get a buggy within the next year.
Great looking machine. Very glad you expressed that it is a dedicated HUNTING vehicle and not setup for all the other. Nothing wrong with the other uses. However, as a hunter that is my primary goal for use. I was very surprised at the amount of room inside the cab. That was impressive. As for the storage under the bed . What a great deal, install some type of slide out drawer that will safely and securely hold firearms and ammo. Keeping them out of the elements and easily obtainable. A separate gun rack on it could still be installed and used . To allow easy quick access for short moves. But after the hunt, game retrieval that kind of thing. Open the door slide out the drawer. Open it and a good safe dry secure place to place your firearms and ammo. Very nice... I can think of a few other items to consider... but it is nice. One question I have. Is how loud is it when running ? One of the biggest problems / concerns I have with these vehicles is the noise. They are loud...
I’ve shot so many coyotes and pigs within a 100yds from this rig and my last one. I test drove everything and the CanAms are the quietest, but they’re nothing like a gas or electric vehicle.
Hey Amantine, do your brakes squeal? I plan to use my 6x6 for hunting this winter, but my brakes loud whenever I touch them, been like that from the start. Wondered if you had to deal with that issue.

I'll second that. I put SuperATV forward arms on my 23 max HD9 with the steering stops one weekend, and then removed the stops the following weekend. They make the turning radius absolutely atrocious. If you're worried about possibly breaking an axle, throw some Rhino 2.0 axles on.
Did you delete the short I just saw with the piles of pigs & coyotes on the back of this thing? ...I was gonna send it to my friends but I don't see it now. ✌️

Your inner axle is locked which sucks on the terrain and tires, also I’ve been in a loaded down 6x6 and the turning radius got worse with the weight. Single rear is doing just fine with what I’m doing and I don’t have to worry about two extra tires.
@@TxKiller Check check. I run mine as a farm / hunting vehicle. That's one thing I don't like, the lack of turf mode. What I do love about my 6x6 is the short wheelbase with the long bed. Oh, and I can't get it stuck (I've tried). 😆 Keep killing it my man!
