I have a different way of viewing writer's block. It's your brain's opportunity for rest. You don't need to keep the creative spark running 24/7. Sometimes, your brain needs a moment of rest and a chance to recharge from the exhausting task of writing and so it goes into writer's block mode. I've learned not to fight writer's block and welcome it because I know that after it ends, my best ideas are born. When I experience writer's block, I know my brain is telling me to do something other than writing so I go on long walks, paint, write poems, and spend time with friends.
I love this perspective. I think what has hurt me in the past is penalizing myself for not having energy, motivation, or ideas to write about. Instead of taking a step back and allowing my brain to rejuvenate. Thank you for sharing
